NOTE: This form is interactive. You may fill in the fields using a program such as Acrobat Reader or Preview, or you may print it and fill in by hand.

The Visual Arts Department offers a four‐year undergraduate Major program leading to the degree of BFA, and a two‐year graduate program leading to an MFA. In addition, students may complete a combined degree program in Visual Arts and Computer Science. The academic emphasis of the Department is based on contemporary Fine Art practices rather than applied art or craft training. Current areas of study offered are: Drawing, Painting, Sculpture, Photography, Digital Multi‐Media, and Video. The program is designed to provide an intensive studio experience in a critical setting pertinent to the pursuit of art in our culture. Studies are enriched by visiting artists, critics, lecturers, and the presence of graduate students from Canada and abroad. As space in our program is limited, your acceptance by the University of Victoria does not automatically assure you of admission to the Department of Visual Arts. You are required to submit a portfolio of your work with your Questionnaire by March 09. Students interested in Co‐operative Education should consult Arts Co‐operative Education Program at [email protected]. Date:
