Our staff are fully trained by the Partner Manufacturer, often attending annual recertification programs and worldwide distributor meetings to ensure that product knowledge is always current.

Viking can offer a full range of support and training services. Technical and instructor training courses can be delivered at our own Training Centre, on-site at our customers’ facilities and by prior arrangement at the manufacturer’s facilities. VIKING is also home to the newly formed Armourer’s Centre of Excellence (A.C.E.) headed by our own Royal Marine Trained Armourer, Nigel Brown. Nigel served in the Royal Marines for twenty three years, nineteen of which as an Armourer serving with 40, 41 and 45 Commando, RM Poole, Commando Training Centre and as the Armourer for the Special Boat Service.

His last five years of service was as the Senior Military Armourer Instructor at the School of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering in Bordon, Hampshire where he instructed and trained armourers from all three services, police and armourers from overseas. On retirement from the Royal Marines he spent the next fourteen years as the armourer for Surrey Police where he also trained as a Firearms Expert Witness. In April 2012 Nigel joined Viking Arms Ltd where he continued to develop his trade as an Armourer and is now qualified as one of only ten internationally qualified instructors for Glock pistols. VIKING has now trained over 140 armourers from most of the police forces within the UK, military armourers from all three services and prepared the instructors and training course for the new Initial Glock Training, being undertaken by all three services as part of the UK MOD Pistol Replacement Programme.

ASP

I n the world of international law e nforce me nt, th e re is little room fo r error. Perfo rmance is paramount.  Failure is not an option. Am ong th e me n and wome n of this specialised prof ession, the name ASP is  sy non y m ou s wit h q ualit y. Designs with out e qual. Prod ucts you can lit erally stake your lif e on .

For over 30 years, the ASP Insignia has stood for innovative design. Flawless function. An unmatched standard of service. ASP designs are produced in five distinct product categories. Each is unique. A product line so advanced that it is protected by over 150 patents. 5 P r od u c t C a t e g o r i e s ASP Batons form the foundation of the ASP product line. Restraints provide a full range of secure control options. Training products promote the safe instruction of ASP tactical designs. ASP OC is devastatingly effective in a unique delivery system (not available in the UK) LED Lighting is incredibly bright and forms the fifth product category. These five classes of ASP Law Enforcement products provide a diverse range of innovative personal safety designs. B ac kg r o u n d ASP was founded in 1976 by Kevin Parsons. A PhD in Police Management from Michigan State University, Parsons spent half a decade teaching firearms and defence tactics at a regional police academy. A nationally respected consultant, he had designed Use of Force training systems for major law enforcement clients across the country. The nation’s premier expert witness, he had testified over 500 times defending police agencies in 43 states.. A frequent lecturer on Use of Force policy, training and administrative procedure, he was a frequent lecturer for a diverse group of professional organisations ranging from the International Association of Chiefs of Police to the American Bar Association. In each venue, he taught the necessity of systems that were tactically sound, operationally feasible and legally defensible. It was this real world, street oriented background that Kevin Parsons brought to the design of ASP products.

A R e vo l u t i o n When ASP was incorporated as a small, unknown startup company with limited resources, the baton industry was dominated by firms that were well financed and deeply entrenched. They held a philosophy that was dramatically at odds with the rigours of ASP competency based training. Today, ASP is the dominant intermediate force manufacturer in the law enforcement community. ASP is the most widely utilised baton and handcuff training in the world. The effectiveness of the ASP system is proven every day on the street. This distinctive commitment to the men and women of law enforcement is what distinguishes ASP. An unwavering dedication to quality. World class products defined by their unmatched performance. Development Criteria Three basis criteria exist for the development of new ASP products. First, the design must be functional, the best in its class. Second, the product must incorporate new technology... an innovative solution to a real world problem. Third, each concept must be unique... innovative enough to be patented. In short, new ASP products must make a positive contribution to the profession. The best or nothing for those who can afford no less. D o m i n at i n g T h e F i e l d Ongoing research and development programs remain the cornerstone of ASP innovation. A technology driven corporation, ASP commits a significant percentage of its annual revenue to the design, production and testing of new products. This leading edge technology has created a new standard of safety for the profession. Innovative design. Cutting edge production. Unmatched quality. Performance you can stake your life on. This is the world of ASP.

Expertise is a big word and at B&T it means: • Knowledge of the systems the operator is using

sights, night vision devices, illumination systems, brass catchers and more.

At Colt Canada they listen to users that make up some of the most Elite war fighting units and police services in the world. That, along with attention to emerging technologies, ensures that products continue to advance in operational functionality as well as popularity.

• Knowledge of what are the technical benefits and limitations of the current system

In summer 2004 B&T started to produce its own line of complete weapons, these include:

• Knowledge of what is best value for money for the customer

• MP9 9mm submachine gun

• Knowledge of what to propose and from where to procure it

• GL06 40mm grenade launcher

Colt Canada has established an outstanding reputation for its particular ability to develop and implement product solutions customised to suit specific user requirements. New challenges presented by clients spur ongoing product development and improvement. The design team is continually reaching new heights in conceptual design, product definition, rapid prototyping, materials, manufacturing methods, and verification testing.

• Knowledge of how to integrate many different current or perhaps newly designed components into a new tactical system that will meet current mission and requirements It does not matter what your current weapon system is, B&T has almost 500 different types of firearms in its reference collection. State of the art engineering enables B&T to create and produce the absolute finest possible tactical solutions for weapon systems. When B&T started in 1991, suppressors were the first product the company produced. Users of suppressors very often needed special optical sights on their weapons and so optical sight-mounts for tactical weapons soon became the second line. To complement this line of products, Tactical Rail Handguards TRH became a third product line B&T produced thus increasing the modularity of modern firearms to make weapons that were able to accept laser

• APR308/338 sniper rifle

As different as these four weapon types are, they all have something in common; these weapons are genuinely modular, offering large interfaces to accept all accessories that a mission may require. On the 15th April 2012 construction was finished on B&T’s new manufacturing facility. With over 5000m² of space as well as production, assembly and storage, the new building also accommodates a 40 meter shooting range for demonstrations and lot testing and a second 15 meter range within the B&T ballistic laboratory. VIKING Arms Ltd has represented B&T for 10 years during which time we have in close consultation with the end user developed products which are now standard NSN items within the MoD All of the weapons systems have either been purchased, currently involved in a tender process or being evaluated by the UK Police and MoD.

NFM NFM’s core fo cus is PR OT ECTION The NFM® Group has a diverse range of products and services. Every detail has a purpose and every solution can be justified. This is what they call Full Spectrum Protection (FSP): Tactical textiles and load bearing equipment enhancing fightability and survivability Modular full spectrum body armour solutions Vehicle protection, a range of sophisticated fixed and modular armouring solutions To obtain their mission, the NFM® Group offers products and services for full spectrum operations. They have developed products based on a deep understanding and hands-on experience of operational requirements. History The end-users of their products are professionals who totally depend on the functionality and quality of their equipment. The NFM® Group was founded in 1996 by four men who were all active in the National Guard in Norway. Frustrated with the discomfort and lack of functionality of their existing military vests, they decided to make some improvements and sew some load bearing vests on their own. When the Norwegian military heard of this project, they offered a small development fund to enhance these vests further. The result was a vastly improved vest, according to the existing standards, ready for sale in 1998.

Viking Arms Ltd is proud to be partnered with such a dynamic and innovative company. In the short period of our relationship with NFM we have secured a contract to supply the EC Paint which allows all weapons to be spray-painted in Coyote Brown before going out on operations. To date over 20,000 tins of paint have been supplied.

Since, the NFM® Group has expanded and grown, and is now a major contender within the full spectrum protection segment. Their products and services, rooted in the Scandinavian heritage of craftsmanship, are now in use by a number of European armed forces and police.

Streamlight is a “hands-on” company; the company started in 1973, 40 years ago. They learn by doing, and so understand what customers need because they are out there doing what they do, using the same lighting tools in the same ways. They go through firefighters’ training. They take courses in low-light shooting. They are hunters, fishermen, outdoor and sports enthusiasts. They believe it’s their hands-on, real-world experience that leads to new ideas and innovations that set Streamlight apart. They make it a point to get out in the field and talk to customers. They hold focus groups to hear what customers like about the products; and are even more interested in what they don’t like, what needs to be improved, and what lighting problems have yet to be solved. Customer feedback helps them continually improve existing products and create new and better ones. Since the most extreme hazardous conditions are often in dark places, Streamlight created a complete line of safety-rated lights. For the industrial market, they have developed lighting tools that are safe to use even around explosive gases and in other potentially explosive atmospheres. They didn’t Invent Customer Service; They Just Perfected It. Their success is directly related to their ability to satisfy customers. They take customer service very seriously. The Viking Arms sales department includes specialists in each of the markets we serve. We go through extensive training on all Streamlight products, even working on the assembly line and in the factory service centre. We know Streamlight products inside/out. We understand the challenges you face and we know how to help you find the best lights and get the most from your purchases. We’ll work with you and do whatever it takes to help you.
