Uttar Pradesh: First among All       

First State in the county to develop and notify Skill Development Policy in 2013. First State to harmonize the Skill Developments initiatives of various departments and adopt common norms. First State to make provision for top-up fund under SSDF (State skill development fund) First State to establish dedicated Skill Development Mission to run skill development schemes in an integrated and standardized manners. First State to empanel more than 300 training partners from the private and public sector and train more than 300,000 youth. First State to work on the principles of demand side management. First State to oganise overseas exposure visit for its trainees to prestigious institutes like ISIPCA in Versailles and GIP in Grasse in field of perfumeries from state's resources.

NSDC & NCVT Certificate issued by reputed Govt. of India’s body to trained youth. 60% of assured placement compulsory for training partners. 80% placement norms for flexi-MoU partner. No release of last installment of payment without complying placement norms. Tie up with placement agencies- Select Job, Saral Rozgar. Tie up with job portal like Monster.com Employment fair in all districts. Demand based training courses. Overseas employment through NRI Department. Government order for all departments to give priority to youth trained by UPSDM in outsourced jobs.

Empowering Youth    

   

Provides employable skills to them through various training programmes of their choice. Serves the largest employable cross sections of the population in terms of age bracket of 14-35 age group. Arranges training in trades of their choice, offers more than 634 trades and 53 sectors to choose from. Providers residential facility to those who are stay up in remote area. Ensure training in soft skills also without compromising with core training curriculum. Assures employment both wage and self through Training Partners’s commitment. Provides post placement support for employed youth. Tracks the post placement status of the trainees for 1 year under hand holding support policy.

Sector Skill Councils on board MoU Signing Terms  Objective of this agreement is to improve employability skills of the trainees of UPSDM by their adoption of the National Occupational Standards (NOS), Assessments and Certifications developed by NSDC through its Sector Skill Councils.  SSC will ensure timely completion of training assessment & certification.  SSC will help in identifying in-demand Trades/Occupations for which employment opportunities exist in the state of Uttar Pradesh.  SSC will try to facilitate tie ups of the UPSDM with relevant industries for deeper involvement into the trainings to make it market relevant.
