1. Installation of SOPRO Imaging update •

Start downloading the Sopro Imaging update package from the link present in your order email.

NOTE You are going to download a rather heavy file (approx. 700 Mb) •

Once the downloading is terminated, the Sopro Imaging update package will automatically be executed (if your navigator is configured by opening the downloaded elements). A Safety Warning window may appear. Click the ″Execute″ button.

If your navigator does not automatically start the downloaded software, manually start the execution of the Sopro Imaging Web Install.exe file which is located in your navigator’s downloading folder (consult your Internet navigator’s downloading modalities to know precisely the details of this folder). A Safety Warning window may appear. Click the ″Execute″ button.

NOTE Extraction/decompression can take several minutes. •

Once the files have been extracted, the Setup of the Sopro Imaging update will automatically start.

-Leave the ″Sopro Imaging″ box ticked -Untick the “Install demo images″ box. -Tick only the device driver(s) corresponding to your SOPRO product(s).

WARNING When updating from version 2.00 to 2.20, do not install the PSPIX device driver. DO NOT TICK THE CORRESPONDING BOX.

After clicking on “Install selected items” , the “minimum requirement verification” window appears so that you can control it.

WARNING The display of one or more red crosses indicates that you have one or more element(s) which do not respect the recommended setup for good system usage. We recommend that you make the adjustments suggested in the help bubble by moving your mouse on the corresponding section before continuing with the installation. If you obtain a red cross at the ″Windows version″ level, you must install at least a Windows XP Service Pack 1 version on your computer before continuing with the installation.

Once verification is finished, click on “Ok”.

•

Select the display language during the installation process.

•

Click on “Next”.

•

A dialogue box opens, containing the Software Licence Agreement. You should read this agreement in full before continuing the installation. When you have read the terms and conditions, click on “Yes”.

•

By default, the Sopro Imaging software will automatically be installed in the “C:\Program Files\Sopro Imaging” directory. Click on “Next”.

•

When installation is finished, a dialogue box appears; click on “Finish”.

•

Then follow the installation process for the previously selected device drivers. WARNING Refuse all computer restart requests during the installation.

•

At the end of the installation, restart your computer.

•

If you wish to install the Sopro Imaging software on several computers: -Download the update from the link sent in the order e-mail to any workstation. -Share the downloaded ″Sopro Imaging″ file or save it to a USB key or a CD. -Install the update on all the workstations.

WARNING You should not start Sopro Imaging from any workstation, or activate the update thanks to the licence number AS LONG AS all the stations have not been updated.

2. Activation of the SOPRO Imaging update The activation of the Sopro Imaging update depends on the version that you used earlier: o If you used a version below or equal to the version 1.71 You have 31 days to activate the update thanks to the licence number sent in the order e-mail. To activate the SOPRO Imaging software, click the menu ″Help” > ″Activation″. o From the version 2.00 You have to activate immediately your update to start Sopro Imaging thanks to the licence number sent in the order e-mail. A message appears directly at the start of Sopro Imaging prompting you to activate the update. Click « YES ». The update may be activated: o Automatically, if your workstation has an Internet connection. o Manually, if your workstation does not have an Internet connection.

WARNING The update thanks to the licence number must be activated from ONE AND ONLY ONE workstation. What is important is that this station share the same Images database with the other workstations on which Sopro Imaging is installed.

2.1. Activation of SOPRO Imaging update in automatic mode

NOTE Your computer must be connected to Internet. •

To automatically activate SOPRO Imaging, click on the “Help” > “Activation” menu.

The following message appears:

Click “Ok”.

The following window appears:

• Fill in the fields marked with an asterisk and enter the licence (beginning with “1”) number provided by your dealer. Then validate by clicking on the “Validate licence” button. •

The following message appears:

Click “Ok”.

•

To ensure that changes have been applied, close and restart SOPRO Imaging.

NOTE A confirmation email is also sent by email at the address you indicated on the website.

2.2. Activation of SOPRO Imaging update in manual mode

NOTE In case your computer is not connected to Internet, SOPRO Imaging software must be activated manually.

•

To manually activate SOPRO Imaging, click on the “Help” > “Activation” menu.

•

The following window appears:

•

Enter the licence number (beginning with “1”) provided by your dealer. Then validate by clicking on the “Validate licence” button. The activation code is displayed automatically.

•

Write down the activation code (beginning with “2”) and connect to the website www.sopro.imaging-reg.com using a computer with Internet access.

•

The following registration page appears:

• Fill in the required fields and enter the activation code (beginning with “2”) you previously wrotedown. Then validate by clicking on the “Register” button. • A dialogue box appears, confirming that the software has been registered and indicating the activation key.

NOTE The activation key is also sent by email at the address you indicated on the website. •

In SOPRO Imaging, enter the activation key (beginning with “3”)then validate by clicking on the “Validate activation key” button.

•

Click “Ok”.

•

To ensure that changes have been applied, close and restart SOPRO Imaging.
