RESEARCH EXPERIENCE IN THE AREA OF THE PROJECT

Satellite remote sensing This experience was achieved during the three years long QUITSAT project in which since just graduated I have been soon inserted in a research team with the mansions of providing ground base data for satellite comparison and providing validation tools for the gaseous concentration at the ground retrieved from satellite observation. GIS analisys This experience is achieved during the environmental sciences Ph.D course, in which the main aspect of Geostatistics and informative layer were learned. Furthermore experience was achieved during the GEOBUS project in which Air Quality city maps were produced using analyser onboard bus and informative layers about crossroad, buildings and other information were together inserted in the maps. Last experience was achieved during the TRAFFICCONTROL project, in which, similar to GEOBUS, a NRT system collected data from analyser on-board bus and provided map of pollution over the city in a website. Air Quality Experience in Air Quality is achieved during the different project and fields campaigns inherent this theme (see the below list). Starting from the graduated thesis, usinf a DOAS spectrometer in active cinfiguration to control photochemical processes occurring in summer periods in th Po Valley. The PH.D dissertation was about an innovative technique to measure the Flow rate emissions from chimney stacks. Actually he is developing algorithm for MAX-DOAS profile measurements for air quality and for environmental studies.

QUITSAT: www.quitsat.it (1) implementation of the DOAS algorithm to provide improved analyses of the columnar quantities at the ground and ground concentrations measured by Active DOAS measurements, (2) implementation of the validation tools in the system, to validate the QUITSAT final products on gaseous absorption, taking into account the products furnished by the environmental protection agency networks. MONITER: www.moniter.it (1) field measurement campaign with a remote sensing spectrometer and a LIDAR in order to measure the emission of an incinerator. GEOBUS: (1) Field measurement campaign with smart analyser onboard bus to detect different distribution of pollutants over the city of Bologna (I).
