schedule of events Welcome to the University of South Carolina! We’re thrilled to have you as our guest. To make the most of your day, review the schedule of events on this page. Multiple events take place simultaneously throughout the day, so it’s helpful to write down your plans on page 17. You choose how you wish to spend your time today; we have plenty of options for you to consider. Think of Russell House as your home base for the day. Many activities take place in this building. Campus walking tours depart from outside Russell House and bring you back when finished. Inside Russell House, you can select from rotating information sessions led by admissions and financial aid staff, visit representatives from all over campus at the fair in the ballroom, tour the brand new Leadership and Service Center, and find plenty of food options when you are ready for lunch. Beyond Russell House, the campus is available for you to explore. The Wellness & Fitness Center and select residence halls are open beginning at 1:00 PM. Shuttle service is available for many locations. Shuttles run continuously in loops, so you can easily return to the Russell House. The Visitor’s Center will be offering an abbreviated tour of the campus today from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM. It is designed to help you navigate our campus so you can get the most out of your Open House experience. You’ll hear important campus highlights and have time to ask questions. Tours last approximately 60 minutes. Tours depart continuously. The last tour will depart at 1:00 PM.

Location: Greek Village Visit the first floor of select fraternity and sorority houses and ask current Carolina Greeks your questions. Shuttles will depart from and drop you back at the corner of Sumter and Greene streets. The last shuttle will leave the Greek Village at 5:20 PM.

Location: Varies (see page five for open halls) Take a look inside several freshmen halls today and see what it’s like to live on campus. Housing staff will greet you in the lobby of open residence halls. Shuttles to Bates West, Capstone, and Green Quad will run from 1:00 - 5:00 PM between the corner of Sumter and Greene streets and those residence halls. The last shuttle will leave Bates West, Capstone, and Green Quad at 5:20 PM. See map on page five for more details. Please note: For security purposes, you will be asked to show this booklet before being granted access to each residence hall.
