University of Denver Graduate Student At-Graduation Employment Survey: Spring 2012 The spring 2012 administration of the University of Denver At-Graduation Employment Survey targeted University of Denver graduate students who were expected to graduate after the spring 2012 quarter.1 Data collection began on May 7, 2012 and ended on June 22, 2012. The online instrument was initially emailed to pending graduates from the division of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, the Graduate School of Social Work, the Josef Korbel School of International Studies, the Morgridge College of Education, the division of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, the School of Engineering and Computer Science and the Graduate Tax Program1. Students who had not completed the survey during the first month of administration were asked to complete the questionnaire at cap and gown pick-up on June 5th and 6th. Of the 7102 spring 2012 graduates who received the survey, 558 completed it for a final participation rate of 78.6%. The following tables and figures offer an overview of the survey results for respondents from the specified schools. Table 1. Respondent Affiliation by School: The following table indicates the number of unique respondents associated with each school. Students graduating from multiple programs have been incorporated into these calculations, so the percent column will not sum to 100. However, only one respondent graduated from two degree programs during the spring quarter, so for practical purposes, each school’s percent column figure can be interpreted as the proportion of respondents solely associated with that school. All respondent degrees have been confirmed against university records. For a breakdown of specific degree frequencies by school see Appendix A.
