The application process & room allocation Applying online for University accommodation is very easy. Application forms can be submitted online, downloaded from our website at: www.anglia.ac.uk/housing or posted to you on request from our office. If you have special needs please contact us urgently so that wherever possible we can ensure support systems are in place to make your stay at Anglia Ruskin as enjoyable as possible. Choices of accommodation for those students who are under 18 years of age are restricted to rooms at either the YMCA or Sedley Court to the limit of supply.

The offer When you receive an offer of accommodation it will specify the room you are being offered and in which building. You will need to accept or reject your offer by returning the appropriate documents to UAS offices before the stated deadline. Accepting the offer If you accept your offer, you will need to set up an online recurring payment plan for the rent instalments shown, using a credit or debit card. To make this arrangement you must visit the University secure online payment facility at: www.anglia.ac.uk/webpayments

Don’t delay Application forms are processed in order of date received, so the earlier you apply, the more likely you are to receive your first choice of accommodation.

N.B. The balance of your first rent instalment (ie the amount over £200.00 deposit already paid) will be charged to your nominated account on 25th August, with remaining instalments payable on 25th of each month from October 2009 – April 2010 (May 2010 for Anastasia House).

The deposit When applying you will need to pay a £200 deposit, which is a rent pre-payment and guarantees to reserve the room allocated to you for your arrival*. The deposit should be paid via the University secure online web payment facility at: www.anglia.ac.uk/webpayments

Moving in Providing you have paid your first rent instalment, you will be able to collect your keys on the day the occupancy agreement begins. Arrival details can be found on our website at: www.anglia.ac.uk/housing

Please remember that you need to pay your deposit before you fill in and submit an application form. Application forms are available from: www.anglia.ac.uk/housing

* The room will be held for the first two weeks of your occupancy agreement. N.B. The room may be re-allocated if you do not arrive at the University, and any deposit paid will be forfeited. If the University is unable to offer you accommodation your deposit will be returned in full.
