NONPROFIT CAPACITY BUILDING SURVEY OTHER TRAINING NEEDS  Staff development on various degree paths that would enhance the work of the organization

 Technical training in design and management of websites

NONPROFIT CAPACITY BUILDING SURVEY OTHER COMMENTS We already receive extensive training…we would like to see United Way focus more on garnering more financial support from the community on behalf of the area nonprofits.

RESPONSE Research shows volunteers who engage in meaningful activities are more likely to donate. UWNWA has extensive corporate relationships and their feedback reveals a desire to engage more in the community. Corporations have skilled volunteers and other in-kind resources that could benefit local nonprofits. Leveraging corporate volunteer and in-kind resources provides a pathway for increasing future financial donations.

NONPROFIT CAPACITY BUILDING SURVEY OTHER COMMENTS How does this fit with HARK (Center for Collaborative Care)?

RESPONSE To better understand what resources already exist, the Community Impact Team has been meeting with other entities who provide nonprofit capacity building services. The UWNWA strongly believes in collaborating and coordinating, so we are convening a meeting of these providers to share information and discuss how we can work together to deliver capacity building services. Initial meeting participants will include representatives from organizations like HARK (C3), Arkansas Nonprofit Alliance and Fayetteville Public Library.

NONPROFIT CAPACITY BUILDING SURVEY NEXT STEPS  Review and select online tools and resources based on survey results  Board Assessment  Organizational Assessment  Contact corporate partners to engage in providing training and development  Marketing Research & Promotions  Website Design and Management  Redesign 2017 United Together Meetings based on survey results
