Under the Auspices of

Società Italiana di Chirurgia Vertebrale - G.I.S.

Dear Colleagues, Antonino Agrillo M.D passed away at just 41 years of age in May 2008. Since the first years of his residency in neurosurgery Antonino ‘s interests were oriented towards surgical diseases of the spine. Given his acute sense of observation and critical spirit, he was immediately noticed for his enthusiastic and innovative approach. Throughout the years he developed a competence and experience that combined with his innate dexterity made him a very skilled vertebral surgeon. His open smile, forthright approach and friendly personality made him the ideal colleague as well as an enjoyable friend. His memory is still vivid in all those who knew him. This meeting which compares traditional open surgery with mininvasive and percutaneous techniques in treating traumatic and degenerative surgical disease of the spine is been held in his memory. Antonino Raco
