Introducción La Institución académica Alexander Bain, tiene el aval de una experiencia docente de más de 50 años de labor ininterrumpida en la Ciudad de México, garantizando una educación de excelencia. En 2006, se inaugura el Centro Educativo Alexander Bain en Irapuato, por ser uno de los municipios económicamente más dinámicos del estado de Guanajuato, debido a la diversidad de su industria y su infraestructura. In 2006, the Centro Educativo Alexander Bain in Irapuato opened its doors for the first time, choosing Irapuato as its home due to the economic stability of the city and its diverse industry and infrastructure, situated perfectly in the state of Guanajuato. Alexander Bain has more than 50 years of experience in Mexico City, guaranteeing an excellent quality education.

Nace el Centro Educativo Iniciamos la Alexander Bain Irapuato Secundaria. con Preescolar y Primaria.

Somos el primer colegio bilingüe autorizado para impartir el PEP (Programa de la Escuela Primaria), en la zona del Bajío por la BI.

Se inauguró el Edificio de la Dirección General.

Obtenemos la incorporación de nuestro Colegio de Ciencias y Humanidades a la UNAM e iniciamos la 1ª generación de Bachillerato.

Iniciamos el proceso de evaluación del PEP y la impartición del idioma japonés.

The Centro Educativo Alexander Bain Irapuato opened its doors with preschool and elementary school.

We became the first bilingual The General Direction school authorized for the building was built and International Baccalaureate PYP opened. (Primary Years Programme) in the Bajio.

We became incorporated with the UNAM as a Science and Humanities School, starting with the first generation of high school students.

We started the PYP evaluation process and started teaching Japanese as a foreign language.

Programa de Estimulación Temprana Early Childhood Education Fomentamos que nuestros niños crezcan y aprendan jugando en un ambiente divertido y autónomo, que les permita descubrir el mundo, a través de actividades específicas de arte, tecnología e iniciación a las lenguas extranjeras.

Our students grow and learn by playing in a fun and autonomous environment that allows them to discover the world around them through specific activities that relate to art, technology and foreign languages.

La riqueza de integrar nuestros programas nacionales tanto de la SEG como de la UNAM con el de la Organización del Bachillerato Internacional (BI), dentro del marco de los valores universales, fomenta en los alumnos la indagación, el análisis crítico, la comunicación, la solidaridad, la creatividad y la reflexión, con una perspectiva globalizada y conciencia sobre su entorno.

La importancia de trabajar con niños felices es esencial en el desarrollo integral de nuestros alumnos. A muy temprana edad los pequeños tienen su primer acercamiento con diferentes materias como: matemáticas constructivas, lectura e iniciación a la robótica y programación, entre otras. Buscamos en esta etapa que los niños encuentren su independencia y maduración, propiciando el contacto con el medio ambiente.

La indagación y el descubrimiento son parte esencial del crecimiento intelectual de nuestros alumnos, fomentamos el desarrollo de habilidades dentro y fuera de clase, convirtiéndose en pensadores críticos y reflexivos. Los alumnos tienen acceso a actividades de apoyo como: réplica del modelo de la ONU, concurso de narrativa, taller de ajedrez, recolección de pet y aluminio, visitas culturales y de investigación.

El desafío intelectual en Secundaria y CCH es fundamental en el desarrollo académico de nuestros alumnos, animándolos a percibir y comprender las diferentes disciplinas que los rodean. En estos niveles los alumnos adquieren una amplia experiencia multicultural, apoyándose con herramientas tecnológicas de vanguardia en las diferentes asignaturas, tutorías personalizadas y programas de orientación vocacional.

The importance of working with happy children is essential for the cognitive development of our students. At a very early age, children are exposed to different subjects such as math, reading, robotics and programming, among others. We encourage students to be independent as they mature and interact with their environment.

Inquiry and discovery are important aspects for the intellectual growth of our students. We inspire children to develop their skills inside and outside the classroom, using critical thinking skills. Students have access to activities such as the Model United Nations, narrative competitions, chess workshops, recycling programs, cultural visits and inquiry based activities.

The intellectual challenge in middle and high school is fundamental for the academic development of our students, inspiring them to perceive and understand different academic disciplines. In these levels students are immersed in a rich multicultural experience, using innovative technology in school subjects and participating in personalized advising sessions and career related decision making.

Programa del Bachillerato Internacional International baccalaureate program

El Bachillerato Internacional es una organización educativa que surge en Ginebra, Suiza en el año de 1968. Tiene como meta formar jóvenes solidarios, informados y ávidos de conocimiento, capaces de contribuir a crear un mundo mejor y más pacífico, en el marco del entendimiento mutuo y el respeto intercultural. La BI desarrolla programas de educación internacional de calidad para mejorar la enseñanza y el aprendizaje de una comunidad de alumnos diversa e incluyente y para influir en la manera de pensar sobre la educación internacional en todo el mundo.

The International Baccalaureate is an educational organization that was founded in Geneva, Switzerland in 1968. It prepares students who are caring, knowledgeable, and eager to understand, thus contributing to making a better and more pacific world, through mutual understanding and intercultural respect. The IB develops high quality international education programs to improve teaching and learning in a community of diverse students that influences the way of perceiving international education throughout the world.

En el Centro Educativo Alexander Bain impartimos inglés, francés y japonés.

Having an international mind implies understanding and respecting cultures throughout the world and it requires the study and understanding of different areas of learning, emphasizing the study of foreign languages, and developing inquiry skills that motivate students to become responsible members of their communities, making them citizens of the world. In the Centro Educativo Alexander Bain we teach English, French and Japanese.

Ser Alexander Bain, es estar familiarizado con nuestra propia identidad nacional: nuestro lenguaje, literatura, historia y patrimonio cultural. Es estar abiertos a las tradiciones, en un contexto internacional, de respeto y sentido amplio del ser humano.

Being part of Alexander Bain means that we are familiar with our own national identity, our language, literature, history and cultural patrimony. We are open to traditions in an international context, showing respect and empathy toward others.

Una verdadera comunidad de aprendizaje A true learning community Dentro de nuestra granja y hortaliza, el programa de indagación hace conscientes a los alumnos sobre el respeto a los seres vivos. En las aulas preparan germinadores y llevan el registro del crecimiento de plantas de diversas semillas, que después transplantan en la hortaliza del plantel, donde deshierban, cosechan y preparan alimentos con ellos, compartiéndolos con la comunidad escolar.

Within our farm and fields, the program of inquiry makes students aware of respect for living things. In the classroom, students grow plants and document their observations of plants that grow from different seeds. From there, students transfer the growing plants to the school garden, where they weed, harvest and prepare food with them, sharing them with the school community.

Una de las ventajas de pertenecer a nuestra comunidad es que fomentamos en los alumnos la práctica deportiva como una disciplina integral, participando todos los años en las dos Competencias Interescolares de Atletismo, organizadas en la Ciudad de México por el Bachillerato Alexander Bain y en Irapuato por el Centro Educativo Alexander Bain, así como en los diferentes torneos deportivos que se llevan a cabo durante el ciclo escolar.. One of the advantages of belonging to the Alexander Bain community is participating in sports competitions such as the School Athletic Competitions, organized in Mexico City by the Bachillerato Alexander Bain and in Irapuato by the Centro Educativo Alexander Bain. Students also participate in different sport tournaments throughout the school year.

Compañía de Coro El éxito de cualquier proyecto requiere de un proceso indispensable de planeación, integración y trabajo en equipo, por ello ofrecemos a nuestros alumnos diferentes actividades culturales y artísticas, con el interés de fortalecer su autoestima y creatividad, como: el Festival Artístico de Música y Danza, Teatro con presentaciones en ciudad de México y Guanajuato, Coro de Abuelitos, entre otros más. The success of any project requires careful planning, integration and teamwork and for this reason, we offer different cultural and artistic activities that students can participate in, with the idea of strengthening their self esteem and creativity. Some of these events include the Artistic Festival of Music and Dance, theater presentations in Mexico City and Guanajuato and Grandparent’s Choir, among others.
