Ultra-fine wire winding is film insulated copper magnet wire of AWG 45 (.0018) to AWG60 (.000309) that is wound with specialized winding and dereeling equipment capable of handling extremely small and delicate wire. These wires can be as small as 1/10 th the diameter of a human hair, allowing for noteworthy miniaturization potential in charging and receiving devices for a number of industries.

Precision’s angular winding configuration features wire wound up to a 55° angle to the coil axis which improves signal intensity for optimal sensing performance. This unique configuration greatly simplifies design processes. This unique configuration adds a second dimension that enhances the design process. Previously, miniature coils required the addition of a secondary element that would allow sensing a secondary position that is now available with a single access coil. Now the real-estate and cost associated with this extra element are no longer required as the wire itself is already wound at an angle to the coil axis. This eliminates the need for an additional element and also ensures superior performance as less components provide fewer areas for error. Thanks to the angular wire, multidimensional sensing is possible from a single axis coil.
