December 2-3, 2016
The UCSF Ophthalmology Update will update practicing ophthalmologists on advances in: glaucoma, pediatric ophthalmology, neuro-ophthalmology, retina, oncology, oculoplastic and reconstructive surgery, cornea, refractive surgery, external disease, and uveitis. EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES We specifically anticipate improvements in skills and strategies to: • Evaluate and manage the patient with dysphotopsia after cataract surgery. • Understand the role that intraoperative assessment of refractive error plays in optimizing intraocular lens power selection. • Understand how imaging technology aids in deciding whether to perform laser iridotomy in patients with narrow angles. • Select optimal surgical approach in patients with inadequate capsular support. • Develop an evidence-based approach to management of orbital floor fractures.
