June THEME: reflection

Tuesday, September 6, 2016 “An idea, remark or piece of writing resulting from serious thought.” At RMS, reflection is the last theme of the year. IT is a time to look back and evaluate what has been accomplished, what goals have been reached, and what remains to be done. We may write an evaluation of our year and may share reflections when we write letters to next year’s class.

"Stop worrying about what you have to loose and start focusing on what you have to gain."

Have a Happy And Safe Summer!!! See you in September!!!

THE NO PLACE FOR HATE RESOLUTION OF RESPECT We pledge, from this day forward to do our best to combat prejudice and to stop those who violate the civil rights of others. We will seek to understand those who are different. We believe that one person can make a difference and that no person should stand by when it comes to opposing hate. We will speak out against prejudice and discrimination. We will reach out to those who are victims of hate. We know that we must all promote harmony, equality and respect. By signing the pledge, we commit ourselves to creating a community that is No Place for Hate.

Project Wisdom Attitude There’s an old story about two Stonecutters. When asked What they were doing, the first stonecutter Replied, “I’m cutting this stone into blocks.” When asked the same question, the second stonecutter replied, “I’m building a great cathedral.” So much depends on our attitude toward life. Our entire view of the world can change in an instant with a simple change in our thinking. For example: If your attitude toward school is negative, guess what? Your experience of school Will be negative. If you see school as an opportunity to learn and grow and meet great people, guess what? you will be. happy with the experience of going to school. The English say it this way: All happiness is in the mind. It’s simple, but true. Today, notice your attitude toward the world around you.

Please make sure that any outstanding balance on your lunch account is brought up to date. Any student with a negative balance will not be able to purchase additional lunches. Students with a negative balance will receive either a PB&J or cheese sandwich. Thank you.
