A Flexible Solution That does it all The CSN910 is the dimensioning box that can do it all. Its beauty lies in its modularity. Simply connect a barcode reader, dynamic scale and data capture software and it can be configured to suit any type of dimensioning application. The dimensioning software is embedded in the box which means there is no need for add-ons, no need for additional software and no need for an external computer. What you see is what you get.

Dimensioning The CSN910 dimensioner can be purchased as a stand alone unit for dimensioning only and integrated into an existing process. Alone, it can be used in quality control applications or as a component in a system integration project.

Dimensioning and Identification The CSN910 FlexFlow™ is a solution that captures the length, width and height of parcels and scans the ID. It can be integrated with a scale underneath the dimensioner or further down the conveyor line.

Dimensioning, Weighing and Identification The TLX MultiCapture™ is a complete data capture solution designed to be integrated into conveyor systems. Parcels are spaced then dimensions, weight and ID are recorded and the information sent to the customer host and/or sorting system.

Datalogic is the barcode reading partner of METTLER TOLEDO. A global leader in the field of automatic data capture, Datalogic’s barcode reading competency complements our own measuring expertise. The CSN910 can be used as a focusing device for the Datalogic NVS9000 barcode reader. It locates the edge of the package and instructs the the lens to move along the edge until the barcode is located. Identification can be as simple as one overhead barcode reader or as sophisticated as a five sided barcode reading tunnel for maximum read rate.

Optimized Sorting with Side-by-Side Detection On many sorter systems objects must be singulated for proper handling. The side-by-side feature detects when two parcels are touching and reports the problem to the host. The software can split the packages and correctly measure and sort both items. Accurate Dimensioning over Any Conveyor The CSN910 can be configured to measure over any type of conveyor system. Approved to measure over tilt trays and crossbelts, the scanner records the shape of the tray and can then accurately measure height, length and width of transported objects. Reduce Jams with Parcel Positioning Knowing where the parcel is on the belt, what size it is and at what angle is important for maximizing sorting efficiency. If a parcel is too big to go down an out-feed it can be directed to a different area in the sorter. This reduces jams and improves tracking throughout the system. Accurate Measuring of Flats for Maximum Read Rate Measuring of letters and flat packages can be made possible by mounting the dimensioner over a split in the belt. The CSN910 can measure down to a single sheet of paper when mounted in this way for accurate measuring of all items.

Ensuring Data is Secure The CSN910 has a built-in firewall to ensure that only authorised personnel and devices have access to the data captured. The customized Linux based operating system is resistant to all known viruses and all data is securely stored in a legal for trade alibi database that cannot be tampered with. The CSN910 actually works as a router that communicates between other instruments, such as the barcode reader and scale, and the host. Having only connection point gives maximum protection. Offer customers peace of mind and be sure that all data used for invoicing is correct and secure.

Use it to simply reject parcels that don’t fit a correct profile or to tell the sorter what to do with each item. Advanced Dimensioning Technology The Laser Range Finder Technology of the CSN910 works by sending a fan of laser beams onto a conveyor. Package information is collected as objects move through the fan. Simultaneously, conveyor movement is measured and the combined data is used to calculate the dimensions and dimensional weight of the package.

Guaranteed Precision in all Conditions Some sensors struggle to give accurate measurements in certain environments. The high level of laser sensitivity of our scanners measures accurately in dark rooms, when exposed to bright light and when faced with objects with difficult to measure surfaces or colours such as black plastic.
