TRANSFERRING TO SETON HILL COMMUNITY COLLEGE OF ALLEGHENY COUNTY TRANSFER GUIDE (REVISED: APRIL 2014)
Page 1 TO THE COMMUNITY COLLEGE OF ALLEGHENY COUNTY STUDENT: Earning a college degree is an important milestone, both personally and professionally. You have taken the first step by beginning your education at the Community College of Allegheny County. This guide will help you in the next phase of your education -‐ transferring to Seton Hill University. The first section, CCAC Courses Transferrable Toward the Seton Hill University Liberal Arts Curriculum (LAC), describes courses taken at CCAC that will meet Seton Hill's Liberal Arts Curriculum. The headings in bold are Seton Hill's Liberal Arts Curriculum requirements; the courses listed below each heading represent the CCAC courses (if any) that will fill this requirement. The second section lists CCAC courses that have comparable courses at Seton Hill, and should therefore transfer. The first column on each page represents the CCAC courses by number; the comparable Seton Hill courses are in the second column. As you make your plans to transfer, please keep in mind the following: Seton Hill University may limit the number of credits a student may earn in any one area. The number of credits transferred will be determined by the Registrar of Seton Hill. Transfer students are required to earn a minimum of 48 Seton Hill University credits to earn a degree from Seton Hill. Transfer students must earn at least one-‐half of the required credits toward their major or minor at Seton Hill. A minimum of 120 credits is required to earn an undergraduate degree at Seton Hill University with the completion of the major, minor (when applicable), and Liberal Arts Curriculum. You must earn a grade of C-‐ or better for courses to transfer to Seton Hill University. Transcript evaluations and transfer of credits will be determined by the Registrar’s Office at the time of your matriculation into Seton Hill University. Liberal Arts, major, and minor curriculum requirements are subject to change. Please call our Transfer Counselor at (724) 838-‐4231 when you are ready to apply for admission to Seton Hill, or if you have any questions.
