Endorsement Process What is it and how it works?
•
Delegate Process Delegates must hold their Training Officers Skillset and Training Officer in Bronze Medallion. Be proficient in the award that they are assessing skills maintenance in. Be familiar with the process of reasonable adjustment. Adhere to the program of skills maintenance requested by the club. Complete any paperwork required accurately and return in a timely manner.

Inflatable Rescue Boat Crew/Driver: Assessment Requirements

IRB Crew: Figures of 8 - incorporating correct body weight distribution during turns In’s and out’s - 1 or 2 of the swimming zone Safely launching and landing/beaching IRB Correct Crew position during all activities – normal / locked in Patient Pick up x 2 Unconscious Pick up Conscious rescue including a tube entry and rescue Patient Removal from IRB (two person carry) – Demonstrate ability to carry out a patient lift, exit, carry and lay

ARC First Aid / CPR Changes Key Changes with ARC: Compression from 100 to 100-120 beats per minute External Bleeding: raising a bleeding limb no longer required Shock: elevating the limbs no longer recommended Heart Attack - Use of Aspirin Heat Exhaustion – Provide a sports drink if available
