Endorsement Process  What is it and how it works?



Delegate Process  Delegates must hold their Training Officers Skillset and Training Officer in Bronze Medallion.  Be proficient in the award that they are assessing skills maintenance in.  Be familiar with the process of reasonable adjustment.  Adhere to the program of skills maintenance requested by the club.  Complete any paperwork required accurately and return in a timely manner.

Inflatable Rescue Boat Crew/Driver:  Assessment Requirements

IRB Crew: Figures of 8 - incorporating correct body weight distribution during turns In’s and out’s - 1 or 2 of the swimming zone Safely launching and landing/beaching IRB Correct Crew position during all activities – normal / locked in Patient Pick up x 2  Unconscious Pick up  Conscious rescue including a tube entry and rescue Patient Removal from IRB (two person carry) – Demonstrate ability to carry out a patient lift, exit, carry and lay

New Award Changes 2016-17 •

ARC First Aid / CPR Changes  Key Changes with ARC:  Compression from 100 to 100-120 beats per minute  External Bleeding: raising a bleeding limb no longer required  Shock: elevating the limbs no longer recommended  Heart Attack - Use of Aspirin  Heat Exhaustion – Provide a sports drink if available
