Traineeship GRM is a corporate department of the P&V Group whose mission is:  to contribute to the setting up and the maintenance of an adequate and coherent Global Risk Management Framework sustaining the Group P&V’s strategy;  to monitor the level and the evolution of the Group’s risk Profile versus its capacity taking into account its risk appetite;  as an independent counsellor to the C-level management, advice and give recommendations. Two types of traineeships are proposed within GRM – EORM department. A more operational oriented traineeship is proposed in order to give the trainee the opportunity to gain a broad overview of the many activities performed by EORM. A second traineeship is proposed and focuses on a specific aspect of Operational Risk Management and Risk Management Framework. In this case, we propose the trainee to devote its academical paper on those two subjects. This second type of collaboration aims to support academical paper activities as final papers, thesis, or any other types of academical research in the fields of Operational Risks and Risk Management Frameworks.

Operational traineeship In the context of the operational traineeship, the TEOR mission is to assist the EORM in achieving its two main responsibilities :  Contribute to the setting up and maintenance of the Group Risk Management Framework;  Monitor level and evolution of the Group operational risk profile.

Required activities The TEOR required activities wil be to: 

Assist the EORM in maintaining the Internal Control - Risk Control Self Assessment process : o Enhance existing consolidation tools ; o Assist in coordinating and planifying the process ; o Assist in Analysing and consolidating the results; o Assist in ensuring that coverage of operational risks reported is adequate and coherent.



Perform and maintain GRM process descriptions;



Assist in the enhancement of the communication of GRM activities on the group corporate intranet – I-Connect;



Assist in the production of the quarterly Operational Risk Dashboard: o Propose enhancement of existing templates, tools and risk maps; o Assist in the qualitative assessment of operational risks ; o Assist in the consolidation of various sources of informations;



Assist the EORM in maintaining and assessing the Risk Management Framework.

Internal functional relationships:  All operational departments and services of the group;  Internal Audit;  Compliance. Performance indicators:  Quality of produced informations and reports;  Communication;  Ability to synthesize;  Proposal capacity;  Creativity.

Requirements 

Master degree, higher education, academic graduation with major in risk management, economics, management science



Language(s) required: English, French, Dutch



Traineeship duration: 6-12 months



IT proficiency: excel, access, word, power point, visio



The TEOR will integrate the GRM team (9 FTE)



Due to strategical aspects of informations dealt with, the traineeship will have to be executed on a confidential way.

Under certain circumstances and prior to any needs of the P&V Group, the traineeship could lead to a fix position.
