I was woken at 6:30 am by the exessive noise from (I can only assume it was a Porter plane) the Island Airport. This was with my windows/sliding doors closed. As you are well aware, Toronto s noise by-laws prohibit excessive noise between 11pm and 7am. I look forward to your response Aircraft Category Scheduled Air Service

Incident Time: 0100-0500 There were at least 7 incidences of helicopters landing or taking off at TCCA. I can appreciate if this was for emergency cases. I would like to know why there was so much helicopter movement and what the rationale was. It was such an incredibly disruptive and loud overnight with helicopter noise happening frequently. There was also a small plane that was landing at TCCA at 6a.m.. This plane made such a loud incredible noise and I want to know what the reason was for this plane movement at such an early time. The air show has just finished yesterday, now once again we have the dash 8 over flights of lakeshore blvd. west. Why on earth would these commercial aircraft be flying so low over our homes and more than 6 kilometers away from the island airport? Just like the weekend the visibility is absolutely clear so there are no excuses about low cloud. Why when on sunday before the air show was over, with a small biplane over ontario place, a porter aircraft managed to circle tightly and land at the airport. What is with that? I'm a resident that lives right across form the airport. I'm writing this at 1:50AM Tues Sept.22. There is a car parked at the airport,(On the Island side right next to the ferry docks) and it's car alarm has been going off for 2 fucking hours straight! It started about 11:45 and it stops every now and again for about 20 seconds , but then continues beeping!! WTF!!! I'm only using strong language because I'm so pissed off at the moron who owns the car. Whoever owns the car is a fucking asshole!!! It's almost 2AM and that goddamn car alarm is still going off! As the airport director can you please direct the fuckhead who owns the car to figure out how his goddamn car alarm works so the entire neighbourhood doesn't have to listen to it for 2HOURS STRAIGHT!!!! A huge disgust and disrespect goes out to the TCCA, TPA, Porter Airlines (assuming the perpetrator was using Porter) and to the person who owns the car with the "faulty" alarm system that allowed the car to honk continuously all night long. Thanks to you, it kept us up all night, we didn t get back to sleep until some time after 5:30 am, didn t re-awaken until 9:00 am. I hope my boss is as understanding about the problem with the car, as the TCCA seems to be with it as they were too cowardly to do something about it. Heavy fines for disrupting the peace in the middle of the night and being a public nuisance are, I hope, forthcoming from this inconsiderate incident. That will not be nearly enough. The TCAA should publish the license plate and owner information of this vehicle on their website for all of the neighbourhood to see. It s incidents like this, that make the TCCA wanting the neighbourhood s respect laughable. This is just one of many incidents that make us completely disrespectful, wouldn t ever fly from TCCA, and wouldn t recommend it to anyone we know. Sure, this isn t the regular noise complaint the TCCA receives regarding aircraft noise, but it doesn t matter. This was worse as is was in the middle of the night and went on for hours. Noise from the airport is noise from the airport and this was inexcusably excessive. sign me "Disgusted on Queens Quay" Aircraft Category Non - Aircraft Related Response: Security detected car alarm. I can see a car in the parking lot at the airport, see this car lights flashing and hear the honking. This has been happening for HOURS. To whoever owns that car - Thanks for keeping the entire neighbourhood awake all night. I hope the TPA and TCCA get your license plate number and lay a HUGE fine on you for disturbing the peace and creating public mischief. To the TCCA - get your act together and have vehicles like this towed away or disconnect their alarm system, and make the owner pay for it.
