1. On the Workday landing page, you will find worklets that provide access to tasks and reports. Click on any icon to view your available options. 2. Your Workday Home Icon allows access to your Home page from anywhere within Workday. 3. The search bar in Workday allows you to search for People, Actions, and Tasks, etc. Partial word searches are allowed, but correct spelling is required. 4. Clicking this logo will take you to your Home page from any screen in Workday. 5. The Workday landing page is configurable. You can add additional worklets to your landing pages by selecting the

icon to the right of Home.

Use the Plus/Minus icons to add or delete worklets, use the Prompt icon to select from existing worklets, and use Up Arrow or Down Arrow to reorder your worklets on your page. You are only able to view 12 worklets on your homepage, starting with the required worklets. 6. Your user profile can be accessed using this link, as well as your Workday inbox, and W:Drive. This is also where users change their password, change their preferences, manage their challenge questions and sign out. 7. Your Inbox includes notifications of tasks, business processes, approvals, due dates, etc., that are sent to you by your organization’s business processes. The number of new notifications will be displayed when you log in. 1

Tools and Navigation Using Related Actions and the Actions Menu The related actions icon displays next to an object when there are actions relevant to the object.

2. A yellow error message is a warning but can be ignored by clicking Submit again.

1. The related actions icon next to your name accesses a variety of tasks and data about your worker record. Much of what is accessible via the related actions icon is also accessible from links on your worklets, or from your worker profile page. 2. Options beginning with the word, “View” are view-only actions.

1. Actions: includes approvals, reviews and to dos requiring your attention. Once an action is completed it will move to archive. 2. Notifications: lets you know when an action or approval has been successfully completed. Once you mark a notification as “read” (by clicking on the

icon), it will be removed.

Understanding Error Messages Error messages appear in the upper right-hand portion of the page. They typically identify the specific field or fields where information is missing, entered incorrectly, or in conflict with a rule set up in our configuration.

3. Archive: once a notification is marked as “read” (by clicking on the icon), it will be moved to archived items. To view, click on View Inbox > Archive tab.

Tools and Navigation Purpose of the Inbox

Delegating Your Inbox

Your Inbox includes notifications of tasks, business processes, approvals, due dates, etc.

Delegating your inbox allows another employee to have access to the actions in your inbox. This function would typically be used when on a LOA or when an executive wants to grant their assistant access.

Viewing Your Inbox

From the Inbox worklet or the expanded Inbox:

There are multiple ways to view your inbox: 1. By clicking the Inbox icon in the top right corner - OR 2. By clicking the Inbox worklet and then clicking View Inbox.

1. Click the dropdown arrow and select My Delegations link.

2. Click Manage Delegations. 3. Enter the Begin Date and End Date for the delegation. 4. Click the prompt icon ( ) to select a user to delegate your tasks to in the Delegate field.

From the Inbox, you can click View Inbox to see more options, including: • •

5. Select whether to delegate all business processes, specific business processes, or none of the above in the Do Inbox Tasks on My Behalf column.

Tools and Navigation Changing Your Password 6. Click the Retain Access to Delegated Tasks in Inbox check box to be able to view and modify your Inbox while delegated.

From the Home Page > Click on Your Name > My Account > Change Password 11. Enter your current password.

Setting up Account Preferences You can edit the features of your account, including languages, search functionality, workflows, and background notification preferences. From the top-right corner of any Workday page: 7.

12. Enter your new password twice, as instructed. 13. Click OK. The first time you log in to Workday, you will be prompted to set your security questions.

Changing Your Password Challenge Questions If you forget your password, you will have to answer challenge questions to reset your password. You can modify these questions any time after their initial setup. 14. Click on Your Name > My Account > Manage Password Challenge Questions. 15. Select the First Security Challenge Question from the list of available challenge questions. 16. Enter your answer. 17. Repeat this for all required fields.

8. Change any of the items listed on the Change Preferences page as allowed by your organization. 9. Click OK. 10. Click Done.

Your Place in Workday Organizations Workday can show you the reporting structure of your department. This is useful if you need to understand how you relate to others within the organization. From the Directory Worklet > view Co-Workers or View options including Org Chart options.

Identifying the People and Roles that Support You From your Home page: 1. Click on Your Name > View Profile 2. Click the Job Tab. 3. Click Support Roles > Information about your organization’s support staff displays.
