All year 2 children from primary schools across Skipton attended a Sports Activity afternoon at Sandylands last Monday. This was supported by their parents. Unfortunately our year 2 children were unable to attend as we had no parents willing to walk with us. Without help we could not meet the adult child ratio required to keep children safe and had to cancel.

FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT Pupils in Years 5 & 6 have been invited to play in The Richard Mason Memorial Trophy Football Tournament at Sandylands on Friday 1st July from 9.30am – 1.30pm. Have you volunteered to help us? Please let Mrs Burnett know. Thank you.

FOREST SCHOOL BUG HOTEL PARENTS WE NEED YOUR HELP! We would like to build a bug hotel with the children in our wildlife garden, but we need the following materials to be able to go ahead, can you help us? Speak to Mrs Burnett. 4 or 5 wooden pallets Clay pipes Clay plant pots Roof tiles Bits of old carpet Bamboo canes Air bricks

Jump Rope for Heart

Children have improved their skipping skills so much and often skip outside at playtime, singing rhymes too. This is a great skill to learn and a fun way to keep fit. It was great to hear Ryan say “I couldn’t skip at first but I tried and tried and now I can”. Just the attitude we need for good learning. Please send your sponsor money in to the school office as soon as possible. Thank you

Our school library is OPEN to all our families on Friday afternoons from 3.15pm; Please come and see Mrs Hodgson and her library volunteers who will help you choose suitable books. Well done to those families that change their books each week. Reading is so important for your child
