Some hotels require deposits, others allow only small dogs. Be sure to verify the dog policy with the hotel of your choice when you make your reservation. RUNNING ORDER: Briefing and walk-through at 7:45am. Judging starts at 8:00am all days. Saturday: Excellent Standard, Excellent JWW, Open Standard, Open JWW, Novice Standard, Novice JWW. Large dogs to small dogs. Sunday: Excellent Standard, Excellent JWW, Open Standard, Open JWW, Novice Standard, Novice JWW. Small dogs to large dogs. Monday: Excellent Standard, Excellent JWW, Open Standard, Open JWW, Novice Standard, Novice JWW. Large dogs to small dogs.

DIRECTIONS TO TRIAL SITE: From North, South and West: I-39 to Hwy 10 East (towards Waupaca) approximately 10 miles to Lake Road. Watch for Lake Emily County Park signs. Turn Right on Lake Road, cross railroad tracks, and turn Left onto Main Street/Old Hwy 18 at stop sign. Camp Bandy is approximately 1 mile ahead on Left.

SITE INFORMATION:

From East: Hwy 10 West to Amherst Junction (approximately 10 miles from Waupaca and two miles east of Amherst). Turn Left on County Road Q in Amherst Junction. Turn Right at stop sign onto Main Street. Stay to Right at fork in the road. Camp Bandy is on the Right just out of town (approximately 3 blocks).

WARM-UP AREA:

Standard classes will be held indoors on stall matting. Ring size is approximately 72ft. x 112ft. Jumpers With Weaves classes will be held outdoors in a 100ft x 100ft grass ring. Exhibitors and spectators are expected to keep the entire area clean. Please pick up after your dogs on the trial grounds, including the horse pasture. Anyone witnessed not picking up after their dogs will be excused from the trial, with no entry fees refunded. A warm-up area consisting of a regulation jump will be provided for all exhibitors. Please give consideration to those who will be entering the ring before you by allowing them to use the warm-up area ahead of you.

CRATING: Please Note: This summer there is road construction scheduled for Hwy 10 in and around Amherst, Amherst Junction and Stevens Point.. There may be detours in the area near Camp Bandy. We will do our best to have the most current information possible included with your confirmation letter.

There will be very limited indoor crating available. No crates may be set up before 1:00pm on Friday. Please be prepared to stack crates indoors. X-pens not allowed indoors. Unlimited tenting space outdoors, with some shaded areas. Tents and crates may be left overnight, however, TRACCW and Camp Bandy will not be responsible for any lost or damaged items left at the show site. Dogs may not be left overnight.

Stevens Point Area Veterinary Coop, 24 hour Emergency service, can be reached through Amherst Veterinary Hospital, 824-2545.

Food and beverages will be available on site. There is a Subway restaurant approximately 2 miles away on Hwy.10 in Amherst. Other fast food restaurants are approximately 10 miles away in Stevens Point or Waupaca.

CATALOGS: Running order sheets will be available to all exhibitors at no charge. Full catalogs will be available for sale for $5.00 on the day of the trial, but supplies will be limited. Advanced catalog sales $3.00. Please indicate on your entry form if you would like a catalog.

COURSE FAMILIARIZATION: Handlers in all classes are permitted to walk the course, without a dog, prior to the start of the class. The walk-through period will be held following the judge's briefing. The judge's briefing will outline the course and answer handler questions. There will be no obstacle familiarization for dogs at this show.

PRIZES AND AWARDS: Ribbons will be awarded to First through Fourth place in each class and height division. Qualifying ribbons will be awarded to those dogs receiving qualifying scores. Dogs must qualify to receive placement ribbons. Prizes must be claimed the day of the show—none will be mailed.

CLASS INFORMATION: Standard Agility and Jumpers with Weaves (JWW) Classes: Novice Agility and Novice JWW; A & B: The Novice Agility Class is divided into Division A for persons and dogs that have never acquired an AKC agility title, and Division B for dogs that have acquired an AKC agility title, persons that have handled a dog to an AKC agility title, and agility judges. Dogs may continue to be shown in the Novice B class until they have acquired a qualifying score towards the Open Agility (OA) or Open JWW (OAJ) title. Open Agility and Open JWW: Open to dogs that have acquired the Novice Agility (NA) or Novice Agility Jumpers (NAJ) titles. Dogs may continue to be shown in Open Standard or Open JWW until they have acquired a qualifying score towards the Agility Excellent (AX) or Agility Excellent Jumpers (AXJ) title. Excellent Agility and Excellent JWW; A & B: The Excellent Agility class is divided into Division A for dogs that have acquired the OA or OAJ title but have not acquired the AX or AXJ title, and Division B for dogs that have acquired the AX or AXJ title. Dogs remain in Division B as they work towards the Master Agility Excellent (MX), Master Excellent Jumpers (MXJ), and Master Agility Championship (MACH) titles.

Preferred Classes (Standard and JWW): The same class information as described above for regular titling classes is applicable to the preferred titling classes. The owner may choose to enter the Preferred Standard Agility Class and the Preferred JWW Class in lieu of entering the Regular Standard Agility and the Regular JWW Class at any trial. The dog must be entered only in Preferred Classes or Regular Classes, with no crossover between the two allowed at the same set of trials. All dogs entering Preferred Classes for the first time MUST enter at the Novice level in both Standard and JWW regardless of the previous title level in Regular Classes.

JUMP HEIGHT DIVISIONS: Owners are responsible for entering the proper height division. The judge reserves the right to measure dogs entered in this trial.

REFUNDS: No entry fees will be refunded if the trial cannot open or be completed by reason of riots, civil disturbances, fire, act of God, public emergency, act of a public enemy, or any other cause beyond the control of the organizing committee. Entry fees shall not be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, excused by a veterinarian or judge, or barred from competition by action of the Trial Committee. Entry fee for bitches that come into season after the closing date will be refunded (minus $5.00 per day administration fee) if a veterinarian’s certificate is presented to the Trial Secretary prior to the start of judging.

OBSTACLES: Obstacles will meet the specifications for obstacles in the current edition of the Regulations for Agility Trials.

DOGS ELIGIBLE TO ENTER: This trial is open to all dogs over the age of 12 months that are registered with the American Kennel Club, or are registerable breeds that have obtained an AKC ILP number, except bitches in season, aggressive dogs, or dogs suffering from any deformity, injure or illness which may affect the dog’s physical or mental performance. Dogs of registerable breeds with an accepted foreign registration number are eligible to participate subject to Chapter 11, Section 1 of the Dog Show Rules. Refer to Chapter 2 of the Registration and Discipline Rules for the listing of registerable breeds that may participate.

RINGSIDE: Dogs are not required to be at the trial until the scheduled time of judging. All dogs not needed for further judging are excused. The owner or handler of each dog is solely responsible for having the dog ready at ringside when the class is to be judged. Please help your fellow competitors, the trial workers, and the judge by checking in with the gate steward well ahead of your turn, and being prompt at the line when your turn comes to run.

SAFETY AND BEHAVIOR: The safety of the dogs is our primary concern. By entering this trial, exhibitors acknowledge that they are familiar with the rules and regulation of this sport and that their dogs are familiar with and able to perform all obstacles safely. Unsportsmanlike conduct, including rough handling or misconduct of any kind, will result in excusal from the ring. No food, toys, or other aids or devices of any kind are permitted in the ring.

COLLARS: HEIGHT CARD REQUIREMENT: All exhibitors must produce an AKC JUMP HEIGHT CARD for each dog entered. This card must be presented to the Trial Secretary the morning of the trial, or a photocopy submitted with your entry. Any dogs without height cards MUST be measured—You will NOT be allowed to run without a height card or on-site measurement.

MOVE-UP REGULATIONS: If a dog earns an AKC agility title before this event, it can be advanced to the next level of competition. However, written notice must be given to the Trial Secretary no later than 6:00pm on Monday Aug. 25th, 2003. Day to day move-ups will be accepted if received before the close of the trial Saturday Aug. 30th or Sunday Aug. 31st, 2003. Trial close will be considered to be the awarding of ribbons for the last class on that day. Move-ups will be added to the end of the running order of the class they move up to and every effort will be made to accommodate handlers running multiple dogs in the same class. No verbal changes will be accepted.

At the handler’s option, the dog may wear a flat or rolled leather (buckle or quick release) collar without tags or other attachments or decoration. No braided collars. Choke collars, pinch collar, electric and dummy electric collars are prohibited on the show grounds.

LIABILITY: It is expressly understood that exhibitors alone are responsible for the behavior of their dogs and/or children. Any exhibitor whose dogs and/or children create unnecessary disturbances or repeatedly engage in unsafe or disruptive behavior may, at the discretion of the Trial Committee, be asked to leave the show site. In such cases, no refund of any fees paid will be made. Timber Ridge Agility Club of Central Wisconsin, and its member, agents, etc. will assume no responsibility for any loss, damage or injury sustained by exhibitors or handlers, or to any of their dogs or property, and further assumes no responsibility for injury to children.

INSTRUCTIONS 1. (Variety) if you are entering a dog of a breed in which there are varieties for show purposes, please designate the particular variety you are entering i.e.,Cocker Spaniel (solid color black, ASCOB, parti-color).
