Good section called Story Maker (under ‘Get Writing’)where children can choose pictures for various elements of their story & then the programme writes their short story. It has many activities for various curriculum areas starting at a very basic level and building up. As stories load, the children have a jigsaw puzzle to do, related to the story. They could print the screen and keep a copy of the completed puzzle & write something about it.

Stories are accompanied by animated pictures, text below and are read aloud. Children click when they are ready to move on.

Print & do activities

Story maker is under the ‘Get Writing’ tab. Children choose the type of story they want and then the different elements such as characters, setting and so on. When they have selected all the elements, the programme writes their story. They can then print the story and perhaps illustrate it.
