Introduction The equipment used in Sartorius weighing technology, with the numerous interfaces and their various pin assignments, has grown so complex in the past few years that we have decided to create a single information package to provide an overview of the wide range of connection options. This overview is intended to answer questions such as: • Which devices can I connect to which weighing instruments? • Which connecting cable do I need? • Can my weighing instrument be powered through the data interface? • Which devices have control output lines? • Can the weighing instrument supply power through the data interface? You will find all of this information in this Marketing Information package.
The cables are listed according to the device to be connected (PC, printer, terminal) rather than by weighing instrument model. This is because there are many different weighing instruments that use a single cable type. Weighing instruments that have the same type of connector, with identical pin assignments, are also listed together. The overview of connectors is organized in the same manner. The advantage here is that a table shows the differences between pin assignments at a glance. With all of this information at hand, our resellers can answer customers' questions about cables and connectors without having to call our Customer Service department or the Hotline.
