Sanitary – Efficient – Powerful ViscoTwin – 100 % reliable ViscoTwin Pumps main components are manufactured in Germany. The final assembly and customization takes place at ViscoTec, Inc. in Visalia, CA. These pumps are designed to be the next Generation of Positive displacement Pumps that fulfill the most stringent requirements for sanitary Applications. ViscoTwin Pumps greatly improve the current status quo on wear and tear caused by abrasive media, CIP’ability, very low suction head requirements, the viscosity range it can pump against high pressures, and ease for inspection and maintenance. The design is new from the ground up. ViscoTwin pumps are 100% bi-directional without restriction. 4 bearings are paired, 2 for each direction. The 2-part housing enables a larger top port and is 100% drainable after CIP/SIP. Without special precaution, it can handle up to 266°F

for Operation and SIP. Non-proprietary ORings in FPM for static seals insure low cost of owners hip by design. Various options are available for Process Connections, Screw Pitches, Bearing Frame Materials, rotating Shaft sealing designs, heated Housings, and Materials on wetted Parts.

The ViscoTwin screw pump is our sanitary pump solutions. It was developed to reliably pump low and high viscous products with stringent sanitary requirements. It also pumps highly volatile or gaseous products.

Best results for SIP and CIP cleaning •

Best results for SIP and CIP cleaning

The very high rotational speed range allows to optimally pump product or cleaning liquid

High rotational speed in cleaning mode ensure perfect pump cleaning

Capability to achieve discharge pressures on water up to 230psi ensure effective product push-out‘s at the end of run

Pumping and cleaning with one pump: ViscoTwin 130

Two pumps in one • •

The ViscoTwin can be used as a product or CIP pump. It eliminates the need for a separate centrifugal pump, a bypass line, valves, and controls technology

Legend:

Easy manual cleaning

Low servicing costs

The entire pump housing can be removed by unscrewing 4 bolts Product wetted parts become perfectly accessible

Contact free operation of the Rotors limits the wear on bearings and shaft seals when pumping non-abrasive media Innovative and flexible sealing concept - Economic choice of 2 mechanical sealing arrangements - Spares are available individually or in complete packages / spare part kits - Cost optimized sealing design with non-proprietary O-Rings

Easy to clean: The ViscoTwin pump without housing

ViscoTwin – highly efficient for a great variety of products and applications

High priming capacity The axial flow direction and the low media acceleration in the pump allow for excellent NPSHR values < 4 feet.

• •

For emptying tanks at low hydrostatic head pressure For pumping viscous products or products with a low boiling point

Typical applications in the food, cosmetics and chemical industries:

Juices: Freshly squeezed juice, concentrates, mash, pulp, yeast

Reversible pump direction Pumping in both directions by reversing the rotation direction.

• •

For pumping and pipe emptying at the end of run (pigging) For use as supply and discharge pump

Dairy: Yoghurt, curd cheese, fruit, cheese, pudding, butter

For pumping highly viscous products Various products can be conveyed with just one pump

Sauces and Toppings: Ketchup, mayonnaise, mustard, soups, sauces, salads

In evaporation systems for tomato paste In de-aeration systems for fruit juices

Confectionery: Pastry, liquid sugar, rework food, fat, fondant, chocolate

Large viscosity range Viscosities up to 1.000.000 mPas because of the axial flow direction with a low kneading effect through the pump. Excellent pumping performance with low viscosity products to 0,5 mPas because of high rotation speeds.

• • •

60 % gas share possible Because of the high rotation speed of the Rotors, compressible products can be pumped as well.

• •

Very low pulsation The axial pumping and low acceleration in the pump ensure low pulsation. Any pulsation caused by high speeds is quickly released.

• • •

ViscoTwin Pumps can be installed in series. For applications that require a high dosing precision

Meat: Minced meat, pet food, sausage meat

Dry running The contact-free operation of the rotors with a water-flushed dual mechanical seal enable the pump to run dry.

The Pump cannot fail even if the %-ige on gas in the line is higher

Cosmetics: Creams, ointment, soap, shampoo, Lotions Sanitizer, Oils

Special features • • • • •

Materials in contact with the product in stainless steel 316L Product wetted surfaces: Ra < 0,8 μm CIP (Cleaning in Place) and SIP (Sterilisation in Place) cleaning Elastomers comply with FDA and EC1935 / 2004 Designed according to 3A and EHEDG guidelines
