The Vinery Stained Glass Studio Class Schedule 6-11-2016 STAINED GLASS Beginning Stained Glass Workshop $50 Bring a friend or neighbor and join us for this fun and exciting class! See if stained glass is something that you would be interested in before making the investment in supplies and tools. We will show you how to cut glass, pattern preparation, foiling, and soldering in order for you to complete your first stained glass panel. Use of shop tools is included in the class, and you take your panel home with you that day. Children 12 years of age or older welcome! Class fee includes all materials needed for this class. Thursday, July 9 6-9 pm Beginning Stained Glass Class 4 Weeks (once a week) / $65 Learn the art of stained glass in this 4-week course. We offer step-by-step instruction on cutting glass, pattern preparation, glass selection, the copper foil technique, soldering, and finishing your project. Class meets one night a week for four weeks. Students will have a choice from 12 patterns. Students will either have to buy or rent tools. Glass and supplies are in addition. Intermediate Stained Glass Class 4 Weeks (once a week) / $45 This class is designed for those who have taken the Beginning Stained Glass Intensive Weekend or the 4 Week Class. You’re ready for the next step! We will expand and polish the skills you gained in the beginning stained glass class. This 4-week course is intended to improve your copper foil technique, and give you an opportunity to work on more complex pieces with the help of our instructors. You will work at your own pace on any project you choose, while having the convenience of using our studio and grinders, and an instructor for support. We recommend that you choose a pattern from Beginning Patterns II for your second project. Class fee does not include tools or supplies. Bevel Sun Catcher

In less than two hours even you can make a beautiful stained glass suncatcher! Come take this mini class to experience for yourself the joy of working with glass.Each student will make one bevel suncatcher using 4 - 2 inch square bevels soldered together. We will supply materials and tools- all you have to do is register and show up! Each student will make one suncatcher. Your finished piece will sparkle in the sunlight!

FUSING Fused Coral Bowl

The coral bowl is an interesting project! We will teach you how to cut skinny strips of glass and they you can lay them out to create a unique coral pattern. Fused Clock Class

Fused Stack Plate/Bowl

This fused project has a little detail in it. The circular pieces are nipped on the edges to give more of a scalloped abstact floral look. Each student will make a 10" round fused glass plate or bowl. We will present several design ideas or you may play with your own ideas. Some previous fusing knowledge and glass cutting skills would be helpful but not mandatory. Tuesday, June 21 6-9pm Fused Pocket Vase

Here is a fun opportunity to create a special piece of fused glass. Sabrina will show you how to assemble two beautiful pocket vases. Learn how to use frit, stringers, noodles, vitrograph parts and precuts to compose a fun and exciting piece. Cost of class includes all materials, firing and we will drill holes for hanging. Precuts are extra!

Fused Glass Pendants

This hands-on class is designed for fun! You will make 5 pendants while learning the basics of fused glass. This is a great class for the beginner! Students will get the chance to use frit, stringers, iridized and dichroic glass. All materials included, and fired projects will be available the week after class. Each student will make 5 pendants. Fused Garden Stake

Create an attractive fused glass garden stake with a copper tube holder. The fused glass panel will be created in an 8" by 10" Patty Gray mold. The total height is 48". You will have an opportunity to explore working with fused glass and all the interesting elements involved. Fused Scrap Lamp

Come take this class and make a beautiful hanging pendant lampshade! Each student will start with a 11" circle and create on top of this base. Scrap and frit will be added to this. This round disk will be fused flat and then slumped over a mold to create a unique fluted vase.You may choose to have us drill a hole and add a cord set. There is an extra charge of $15 for this option. We stock a table lamp-base that will be discounted 20% to students that have taken this class.!

Fused Strip Bowl

Create a beautiful patterned bowl using many strips of glass. Students will have a choice of a 10" circle or a 12" square. The unlimited design and color possibilities will be discussed. Projects will be fired in Patty Gray molds which provide very smooth edges and usually don't require any cold working.

Mosaics Kid’s Mosaic Class

Bring your kids here to experience the basics of glass mosaics! No experience necessary! Age 7 and older would be fine. Students will have a choice of a variety of shapes to mosaic. Students will be shown examples of designs and will be guided into creating artwork they will be proud of! For the younger students glass will already be nipped and the older students will have a more hands on experience nipping there own glass. Safety is our prime concern as the students explore the joy of mosaics.

FLAMEWORKING Beginning Flame: Blown Glass Ornaments $55 Learn how easy it is to make fabulous blown glass ornaments in this fun class! Each student will be given 10 glass tubes (you may purchase more if time and kiln space allows) to fill with their favorite colors of glass and heat at the torch. You will then blow the warm glass into a one-of-a-kind ornament (No, they don’t all turn out, but you are guaranteed to get several beauties). Make some as gifts and spend an evening having fun!
