Moroccan History

Morocco (officially the Kingdom of Moroccois) is the most westerly of the North African countries. It has both, Atlantic and Mediterranean coastlines, and it also has a rugged mountain interior. The Arabic name al-Mamlakat al-Maghribiyyah, which translates to "The Western Kingdom", and Al-Maghrib, are commonly used as alternate names. Morocco has a population of over 32 million and an area of 446,550 sqm. The political capital is Rabat, although the largest city is Casablanca. Morocco has a history of independence not shared by its neighbours. Its rich culture is a blend of Arab Berber, (indigenous African) and also other African and European influences. Morocco is a constitutional monarchy with an elected parliament. The King of Morocco, King Mohammed VI, holds vast executive and legislative powers, including the power to dissolve the parliament. Executive power is exercised by the government but the king's decisions usually override those of the government if there is a contradiction. The main religion is Islam. The official language is Literary Arabic . Moroccan Arabic referred to as Dareja, Berber and French are also spoken. Morocco's economy is considered a relatively liberal economy governed by the law of supply and demand. Since 1993, the country has followed a policy of of privatization of certain economic sectors which used to be in the hands of the government.

Marrakesh, or Marrakech is a major city in the northwest African nation of Morocco. It is the fourth largest city in the country after , and , and is the capital of the mid-southwestern economic region of Marrakech-Tensift-El Haouz. Located to the north of the foothills of the snowcapped Atlas Mountains, by road Marrakesh is located 580 km (360 mi) southwest of Tangier , 327 km (203 mi) southwest of the Moroccan capital of Rabat, 239 km (149 mi) southwest of Casablanca, and 246 km (153 mi) northeast of Agadir Like many Moroccan cities, Marrakesh (nearly 1 Million inhabitants) comprises an old fortified city packed with vendors and their stalls (the medina), bordered by modern neighborhoods, the most prominent of which is Gueliz. Today it is one of the busiest cities in Africa and serves as a major economic centre and tourist destination.

The hotel will be built in an optimal location in Marrakech in a southerly direction out from the town centre. Thus the Atlas Mountains with their snow-covered peaks will be within reach of the hotel. This top location inspired the internationally renowned garden and event artist, André Heller, to make a unique paradise garden in this part of the dessert. This garden will be part of the overall concept and our hotel will border directly on the paradise garden, which was formerly used as a rose farm. Today the garden serves as a place to recover, relax and reflect and invites one to enjoy the unique natural beauty. The location of the paradise garden and the hotel is truly one of a kind. Close to the Atlas Mountains the topsoil is moister and thus more fertile. The climate is markedly more comfortable due to the higher altitude, the air is healthier, clearer and overall a lot cooler. This guarantees the retention of guests in the months of high summer and that they will have a very pleasant stay even in these months. The price of land is very high in this area, since it is extremely sought after, with the distance from the centre of Marrakesh being only very small. In just 20 minutes you can reach the medina of Marrakech. The hotel's own shuttle will be used for the purpose. The price of land in the unique area will increase in the future, whereby its use as land for building residences is normally excluded. In the region the land is solely usable as green spaces. Our project, exclusively, gained the special case authorisation from the government, including the possibility to construct high-value private villas in the direct surroundings of the paradise garden and our 5-star hotel resort. The proprietors of these villas will be VIP guests in our hotel, use the Royal Medical Spa, increase the turnover from the restaurant, bar and wellness centre and are, like the hotel guests, very welcome in the paradise garden. Thus the project exemplifies a win-win situation.

Hotel Discription The Private Palace Hotel Marrakesh with its worldwide, one-of-a-kind paradise garden by André Heller will be one of the top hotels of Marrakech. With 245 rooms and suites in total, it will be of a very profitable size. The land on which the hotel will be built extends over 50,00 qm, whereby these 50,000 qm will be complemented by 75,000 qm of André Heller's paradise garden. The garden will be home to the works of internationally recognised artists and will regularly hold art exhibitions. The hotel will include a Royal Medical Spa, similar to that of the award-winning Grand-Hotel Binz, a 5-star hotel from our group in Germany, which, after our renovations, was recognised as the best and most authentic wellness centre in Europe. The Medical Spa will employ internationally renowned doctors. Here, medical check-ups will be carried out, among other things, dietary advice be offered and a very individual care be guaranteed. The Grand Med concept of the Medical Spa will comprise the themes of weight loss, detox treatments, medical beauty, fitness, mental balance and much more. This range of offers means that guests are not just guaranteed a wonderful holiday, but rather they are also able to do something sustainable for their health and that in an extremely pleasant atmosphere. The income of the hotel will be further improved through the proprietors of the villas belonging to the overall concept. The owners will receive a VIP membership of the hotel’s Medical Spa. Furthermore, they will be welcome guests in our speciality restaurants, whose income they will likewise increase. The hotel will dispose of a high-value wellness centre with herbal steam baths, caldaria, tepidaria, various saunas, a sport area, a massage section, hairdresser and a large cosmetic section. Here European, Asian and African treatments will be combined and offered at a high level. There will be a separate area in the medical wellness centre which is exclusively for women. The hotel will have an underground car park with adequate parking places. The hotel lobby will be easily accessible from the underground garage by way of a lift. The hotel is conceived as a green building, which means we will enable a neutral energy balance between energy usage and energy production. We will achieve this by using solar modules, water reprocessing plant, effective use of water, our own spring and many other modern technical possibilities.

A retail store with 1,033 sq. ft. is located on the ground floor in the lobby area will offer guests a range of amenities like daily international newspapers, snacks, soft drinks etc. An adjoining high priced jewelry store will allow guest to purchase exclusive watches and precious gems. It is accessible not only from inside the hotel but also from the busy Pertoefi Sandor Road.

REAR BUILDING Storage rooms can be accessed by personal and suppliers directly from the parking garage elevator. Storage areas for kitchen, housekeeping and technical engineering are also located on the lower level floor. Food preparation for the main restaurant situated on the ground floor, is likewise done on this level and transported to its destination by two elevators. Said elevators also reach the ballroom on the 3rd level, which provides the strategically ideal kitchen and catering locations. An additional guest elevator reaches the ballroom on the 3rd floor as well as the Red Pepper Night Flight Club in the basement. It can be accessed at the restaurant level by hotel guests and local visitors from the outside street level.
