SD460 TACTILE IMPRESSION FEATURE This module creates an impression into the card substrate, in-line after the lamination process. This is an optional feature that enables elevated levels of security by providing an excellent tactile feature, as well as tamper resistance. When the impression feature is used in conjunction with a patch laminate or overlay, any attempted overlay removal to change variable data will clearly show tamper evidence. Both generic or custom tactile impression designs will be available for customers to choose from.
NEW DATACARD® DURASHIELD™ CLEAR AND HOLOGRAPHIC OVERLAY DuraShield™ Clear and Holographic Overlays provides increased durability. DuraShield overlay contains UV cured coatings that are applied to the card via heated roller application, providing excellent tamper resistance and evidence.
DEBOW SYSTEM This patent pending system provides flatter cards that meet ISO standards.
LAMINATION STATION The SD460 printer comes standard with single sided lamination and optional dual-sided lamination capability. This provides the ability to provide two different types of overlays material to the front and the back of the card to meet customers’ specific needs.

Many applications require features such as precise Pantone colour matching, security printing or specialist inks that can all be easily dealt with through our card printing service. A fast efficient service from design, artwork approval and printing is guaranteed and all at the most competitive prices.
Security Printing At Essentra Security our heritage lies in supplying secure cards to help prevent forgeries and card copies and validate the employees, students or visitors on your premises. By introducing straight forward security features into the card design and used in conjunction with card printers that add a security overlay then secure tamperproof cards can be produced. Here are some of the security features available through a range of printing techniques. Holo Designs For extra security we can pre-print your cards with a holodesign. A combination of diffractive and non-diffractive foils produce a 2D, hologram-like effect, yet with a low set-up cost. Gold and silver foil available for a high security, high quality finish. Guilloche These fine line, intricate lace patterns are impossible to reproduce with a desktop printer. They provide a watermark style backdrop to your cards, similar to those used on banknotes, passports etc. UV Printing This covert feature involves printing a design in a clear ink which is invisible in daylight, but clearly visible when exposed to a UV light. Holo Images These can include intricate detail and patterns to near photographic quality within a diffractive or metallic foil. Holograms offer the ultimate in security. Layers of images are overlapped giving an illusion of depth. Highly secure and ideal for larger, security projects. Micro Text Cards with pre-printed text that can only be read with magnification or with UV exposure. Colour Shifting Ink Cards With a specified image of colour shifting inks formulated to change from one colour to another. This feature is part of the inner layer of the card and cannot be scratched, or removed. HoloPatch/HoloKote For cost-effective security, standard holopatch cards can be used in conjunction with Magicard printers and Holokote keys.

Paper Visitor Passes The Visitor Pass signing in system is a paper based manual system which allows you to provide each visitor or contractor to your building with a personalised badge while keeping accurate records of who is on-site at any one time. Health & Safety procedures are also fulfilled as each entry is automatically transferred onto a time dated fire register. Journals/Registers Records all transactions The journal or register is the backing sheet in your book, which records a copy of the information provided on the visitor slips. Registers can be standard or customised. The register is vital in case of an evacuation. Discreet Sheets for Confidentiality Discreet sheets are used to prevent visitors from seeing the details of previous visitors. They offer a higher level of confidentiality. These can be personalised or you can opt for our standard stock.
