RoR TBA (THOROUGHBRED BREEDERS ASSOCIATION) RETRAINED RACEHORSE CHALLENGE QUALIFIER RETRAINED RACEHORSE CHALLENGE 90CM Mare or gelding 4yrs old or over and of any height. Riders must be 15 years old or over on the 1st January. Horses to be ridden in any suitable bridle and should be plaited. The first 3 qualify for the final at Royal Windsor Show 2017. All entries must be registered with RoR and HAVE raced in GB. Horses will NOT be ridden by the judge. Competitors must wear a safety/kite mark hard hat with a chinstrap. All those entering horses and/or participating in the show agree to be bound by the Retraining of Racehorses Rules and Regulations from time to time in force’ Racing injuries and blemishes ARE IGNORED in this series The class to be judged 50% jumping, 20% Style while jumping and performance and 30% awarded for show, manners and suitability to be retrained. PHASE 1 Jumping to be judged: 8 rustic jumps ( 2’ 6” to 3 foot with a maximum spread of 85 centimetres ) The following points to be deducted at the end of each jumping round: 10 points to be deducted for a knock down. 15 points to be deducted for a refusal. 20 points for second refusal. Elimination for third refusal or fall PHASE 2 Class returns without boots and judged for an individual show/conformation. (In some classes, at the judge’s discretion, horses might be asked to do a ‘show’ following their jumping without leaving the ring. This is of ten the case with a large number in the class) Each horse to complete an individual show of no longer than 1 ½ minutes. Show to include the following movements: Walk, Trot, canter showing change of leg, extended canter (gallop) halt and stand, walk off on long rein. Total marks out of 30% for Show, manners and suitability to be retrained. Individuals employed in other equestrian disciplines shall be classified as amateurs for the sake of the TARRA show series. Riders are not to have competed at HOYS in an open showing class, in the previous 10 years. (‘Search for a Star’ competitors are exempt)

RoR/JC NOVICE RIDDEN SHOW HORSE QUALIFIER FOR 2017 The RoR Jockey Club Novice Ridden Show Horse Class Thoroughbred mare or gelding, 4years old or over, any height. Rider must be 15 years or over on 1st January. To take part in this class, horses must NOT have won an open class (inc SEIB/HOYS, RoR Tattersalls Show Series Qualifier, TARRA, or any other open class except RoR TBA Challenge Show Series classes. Horses will be de-noviced after 3 novice wins or any open win, but is still eligible to compete at the RoR Aintree show that August. Horses should be ridden in a snaffle, pelham or simple double bridle. Horses should be plaited. The first three go forward to the championship at the Aintree National Showing Show August 2016 or 2017 for shows 10th August 2016 to 10th August 2017. All entries MUST be registered with with the ROR and have RACED in GB. The class will be run under the rules of RoR. Horses will NOT be ridden by the judge; each horse to complete an individual show or no longer than 1 ½ minutes to include the following movements: Walk, Trot, Canter showing change of leg, extended canter, halt and stand, walk off on long rein. Horses will be stripped for conformation. All those entering horses and/or participating in the show a agree to be bound by the Retraining of Racehorses Rules and Regulations from time to time in force. Please be aware that the show will split the class on the horse’s last run in a race (NH or Flat) should the entries exceed 20. Please mark your entry form accordingly. Competitors must wear a safety/kite mark hard hat with a chinstrap. Racing injuries and blemishes are NOT ignored in this series. TARRA RIDDEN QUALIFIER FOR 2017 Open to all Weatherbys (or relevant foreign thoroughbred authority) registered Thoroughbreds raced or unraced (passports may be checked) 4yrs and over owned and ridden by an amateur. Ideally racing name of horse to be used on entry form. Horses must be registered with RoR and have a RoR number which should be stated on the entry form. Class will be judged under a ‘riding horse’ format without ‘type’ being taken into consideration. Injuries and blemishes caused through racing will be ignored. The first three horses will qualify. The judge will ride. This is a qualifier for the TARRA Ridden Championship at Aintree, August 2017. Rosettes 1-4th place with a prize for 1st place Entry Fee - £17

All entries MUST be registered with the ROR and include their registration number on entry form and have RACED in GB. Aintree International Equestrian Centre (Trading as Aintree Racecourse Developments Limited) Terms and Conditions 1.

These Terms and Conditions apply to all competitors and spectators and must be adhered to at all times. Entry into any competition, including the hire of the Centre, shall be deemed an acceptance of these Terms and Conditions

2.

Aintree International Equestrian Centre, Aintree Racecourse Developments Limited and Aintree Racecourse Company Limited reserve the right to refuse entry/hire without stating the reason, to cancel the competition and all rights of admission.

3.

Aintree International Equestrian Centre, Aintree Racecourse Developments Limited and Aintree Racecourse Company Limited do not accept any responsibility or liability for any injury, accident, damage or illness to any person, property or animal whatsoever, or for any loss whatsoever, arising out of, or occurring at any competition, show or event. It shall be a condition of entry, each entrant shall indemnify the organisers against any legal action whatsoever arising from any accident.

4.

Everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the officials and stewards.

5.

All entry, stable and hire fees include VAT@ 20%. All entries and hire fees must be paid for in full prior to leaving the Show. A £15 administration fee will be payable on any outstanding accounts or dishonoured cheques, plus interest.

6.

All prize money will be paid out on the day of the Show and must be collected from the Secretary’s Office. Prize money not collected on the day will be forfeited.

7.

All horses and ponies using the Stables must have a current and valid certificate of vaccination against equine flu. There will be random checking of certificates, any queries regarding this, please call the Show Secretary.

8.

All entries must be made on the entry form with full entry fees. Every Exhibitor and Competitor will be held responsible for the correctness of his or her entry forms and if he/she fails, when called upon by the Stewards or Show to prove the correctness of such entry, the entry may be disqualified and any award made to it cancelled.

9.

No motor bikes or scooters are allowed on the Racecourse. All dogs must be kept on leads and under proper control at all times and cleaned up after

10. Any individual seen to be causing distress or suffering to any animal will be asked to leave the Racecourse and may be reported to the appropriate authorities. 11.

No horse or pony under the age of 4 years shall be ridden in any Class.

12.

Full and correct attire must be worn by all competitors when riding. For all classes all competitors and grooms, when mounted, must wear a British Standard skull/hard hat, which must be fastened. Failure to do so will incur elimination. Aintree Equestrian Centre accepts no responsibility for any injury arising from a failure to comply with this.

13.

Any competitor who is considered by the organisers, stewards, judges to have received outside assistance without prior permission, will be eliminated from the Class.

All Society registration numbers must be given where applicable.

16. All Competitor numbers are to be collected from the Secretary’s Office on arrival at the Showground, if they have not been sent out in the post. 17.

The Organisers reserve the right to appoint a replacement Judge whenever it is deemed necessary.

18. Objection to entries or awards must be made in writing to the Secretary on the Show Day, accompanied by a deposit of £50 which will be refunded if the objection is sustained. 19. The Organisers reserve the right to cancel, limit, divide or amalgamate any Class. 20. The decision of the Judge is final. 21.

Horses and ponies may be measured at the discretion of the Judge unless in possession of a valid J.M.B. height certificate.

22. No animal suffering from a contagious disease may be brought onto the Racecourse. 23. In the event of a Veterinary Surgeon advising the removal of any animal from the Show his decision shall be final and immediately complied with. 24. All disputes shall be referred to the Aintree Equestrian Centre Organisers, whose decision is final. 25. Exhibitors are responsible for all costs in connection with any veterinary treatment given on the Showground and must be settled at the time with the Veterinary Surgeon concerned. 26. It is a condition of entry that exhibitors conform with the requirements of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and for ensuring that safe working practices are followed by themselves, their employees, Agents and Contractors. Exhibitors shall at all times comply with the instructions of the Show Officials. 27. Exhibitors Risk and Responsibility – Neither AINTREE RACECOURSE or AINTREE INTERNATIONAL EQUESTRIAN CENTRE, NOR ANY OF IT’S OFFICERS OR SERVANTS SHALL BE IN ANY WAY RESPONSIBLE or accountable for anything that may happen (from any cause or circumstances whatsoever) to exhibitors or their servants or agents or to any exhibit or to any vehicle carrying any exhibit or anything else brought into the Showground or for anything else arising out of the Show. EACH EXHIBITOR shall be solely responsible for any consequential or other loss or injury or damage done to or commissioned by or arising from any animal or article exhibited by him or her and shall indemnify the Show against all legal or other proceedings in regard thereto. 28. The Show cannot be responsible for the clashing of Classes and exhibitors should bear this in mind when making their entries. We cannot guarantee timings, it is up to the competitor to keep an eye on when their class is. Entry fees WILL NOT be refunded if you miss your class or your class clashes. 29. REFUNDS will only be given on the production of a valid veterinary certificate. Class entry fee and first aid fee will only be refunded. Online booking fee NOT included. Stables and hook ups will not be refunded unless they have been resold. 30. Entries close on Wednesday 10th August. No late entries are permi4ed.
