Preface / 3 The sons of God in the Holy Bible are a very special category of creatures in God’s vast and wondrous creation. The sons of God in the Old Testament are revealed as creatures more superior to mere man born in Adam. In the New Testament, born again believers in Christ are called sons of God. The title of son of God is conferred upon those who respond to the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ when they are saved by grace through faith in the Son of God. Their exalted status as sons of God is usually greatly underestimated in this life upon the earth. Even the believers in Corinth failed to grasp the true nature and power being sons of God, where they would one day judge angels, received a stinging rebuke by the apostle Paul. Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life? (1 Corinthians 6:3) Indeed many Christians are like the believers in Corinth who are unaware of their status as sons of God. They take this title of sons of God likely and take it for granted that the great and benevolent God should confer such titles upon them. When Christians fail to realize the greatness as sons of God, they fail to realize their true potential in this life and lose much reward in the life to come. Hence, here is a short study on the sons of God based on a sermon preached. May the Lord grant believers in Christ sobriety to walk worthy of their calling and vocation in Christ!

Introduction / 4 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure. (1 John 3:1-3) The status of Christians is not well understood by many shallow Christians in our days. If you talk to any young people attending churches you will soon realize they have not much inkling about their status as Christians. They may pray and call God their Father and they may think they are children of God but they often fail to realize the special status accorded to them in Christ. Many church-going Christians by and large are happy with their present earthly status. The church simply provides them a means to further their earthly activities and to meet their personal and family needs. The church is simply a platform for personal objectives to be accomplished. So you have churches running kindergartens and then bigger churches soon run schools. The church provides a place for these Christians to socialize and of course it is called fellowship which sounds a lot more sanctified. Do you find this kind of setup in the New Testament? Moreover, some activities organized by churches could be rather questionable. Some young church-going Christians told me they attended church organized camps that made them spend time at night at cemetery. Some of them are girls. They were made to walk alone through some dark paths in the forests during ungodly hours of the morning to cause them to trust in God and think about God through such walks to strengthen their faith. Such stupidity is just too amazing and no doubt those involved think this is a sanctified activity with God’s stamp of approval on it. Recently a girl was assaulted using a quiet path in a park near the University. Imagine some of these Christians girls became victims of such assault; the church would be dragged through the mud on the newspaper. Christians are a called out people from this world having been delivered from darkness into Christ marvelous light. We have a heavenly calling and not an earthly calling busying ourselves to frenzy through nonsensical church activities. God who loves us so much did not save us so that we become slaves and having to work things out in this world to fend for ourselves. We need not use worldly wisdom to figure out how to survive

Introduction / 5 in this world. We do not need the church to organize activities and conduct courses so that we may be able to cope with life in this world.

The Confirmation of the Sons of God / 6 God did not save us to make us His slaves to work for Him for all eternity though this would even be eternally better than being punished in hell fire for all eternity. But God saves us and makes us His sons as we are told. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: (John 1:12) We are told that the moment we received Christ as our Lord and Saviour, we are given the power to become the sons of God. It is this power given to us instantaneously to call upon God as our Father when we get saved. We need not wait for a confirmation after some probation to test us whether we can be suitable candidates to be God’s sons. The moment we believe and receive Christ, we are the sons of God. For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. (Romans 8:15) Calling God as our Father comes naturally because we are indeed sons of God and this power is given unto us. We are not just given the right to become the sons of God like the modern perversions tell us but we are given power to become the sons of God. And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father. (Galatians 4:6) It is this Spirit of God that comes to indwell in us whereby we are empowered to become the sons of God and as such we can truly cry out to God and call Him Abba Father. Having the right to be sons of God does not mean we have the power to exercise this right. It could be probationary and we might lose this right as well. But we are told with certainty from the Scriptures that we are given power to become sons of God and we need not lose sleep over whether the next day we might be out of favour with God and we lose our rights to be God’s sons. The power given to us is permanent and we are also told that this is a done deal according to Ephesians 1:6: To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. The sonship of us Christians is secured and we will never lose this special divine status because we have become partakers of the divine nature. Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. (2 Peter 1:4) So this arrangement of sonship and the adoption we received are permanent and irreversible.

The Confirmation of the Sons of God / 7 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the slaves of God? No. The Scripture is not written this way. Undoubtedly, we would have no complaint even if we become the slaves of God when God saves us. We owe God our lives and we need not spend eternity in hell fire. Being slaves would be acceptable and beyond imagination. But thanks be unto God. The Scriptures recorded better terms for us. Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: (1 John 3:1) Indeed what manner of love is this that the Father has bestowed upon us? Do we deserve such divine consideration? What have we done to deserve such great kindness from God? We are just vile filthy sinners deserved to be consigned to the lake of fire. What have we really done to be given this special divine favour to become God’s sons? What we have really done was that the moment the Lord Jesus revealed Himself to us while we were yet sinners how Christ died for us, we believe. When the Lord melts our hearts to respond to the gospel of His saving grace, we simply accepted His love for us by faith; that is all we have done. We were not there when Christ was crucified and we did not see it with our own eyes, but we responded by faith and we were immediately saved by grace through faith in Christ. All that we have done is to open our heart to the love of Christ. Little did we realize that just by responding by faith to Christ’s love, God accepted us in the Beloved and made us to be the sons of God. Truly even having been saved and made a slave to work for God in any humbling and menial task for all eternity would be good enough. But apparently it is not good enough for God to show His kindness towards sinful creatures like us. God demonstrates His magnanimity and His great love towards us. God saw fit to adopt us and make us His sons to become join-heirs with Christ. This is simply too wonderful and too amazing. This is beyond any sinner’s wildest dream. This is the greatest of all paupers to riches stories.

The Rejection of the Sons of God / 8 Notwithstanding, does the world realize who we really are? Do they know our highly exalted status in this world? Do they recognize us as sons of God? Do we get preferential treatment in this world? If you go to the streets and tell them you are a son of God, they will laugh you to scorn. They might think you are a mental case on the loose. Perhaps you might be mistaken as a busker, and they might throw some money at you and thank you for entertaining them. Do you expect the world know who you really are? Do you look different from the people in this world? What is so special about you right now? You have to wear your pants like anybody else one leg at a time. You have to eat and drink and breathe to stay alive. You have to make a living just like anyone else. What is so special about you? Do you have special powers like the Son of God to perform miracles, heal the sick, cast of devils and raise the dead? If you want sinners to believe you are a son of God, you have to prove yourself. The Devil challenged the Lord Jesus Christ to prove that He was the Son of God while on earth. And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread. And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone. (Matthew 4:3&6) So if you want sinners to believe are a son of God, you have to prove yourself and demonstrate that you are more superior than sinners in this world. Therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. The world does not know you because the world does not know our Father in heaven to begin with. It is true that we look no different from the people in this world now. We have to face trouble in this life like anyone else in this world. We still fall sick and are often full of infirmities. We still have a lot of heartaches and unfulfilled dreams like anyone else. We still wake up with the most undignified appearance when we look in the mirror like anyone else. We still have bones that are aching and we do not feel like getting up in the morning like anyone else. We still lose our teeth and hair as we grow old. We do not look better as the day goes by but become weaker and sicker and we are trapped in this corruptible body full of infirmities. Indeed, we wonder at times whether we are really the sons of God. But the Scriptures confirm to us that we are the sons of God right now and not in the future when we past our test of probation. Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth

The Rejection of the Sons of God / 9 not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. (1 John 3:2) Though we look no different from the sinners in this world, we are still the sons of God right now and not when we know more about the Lord Jesus Christ from the Bible. Though the world does not recognize us in this world, we are still the sons of God right now and not in the future. Though we are weak and full of infirmities in this world, we are still the sons of God right now and not after we die. Though we often fail God in this life in this world, we are still the sons of God right now and not when we grow old. Will not this make you want to jump and shout and praise God? Our status as sons of God is not dependent on the approbation by men but by the promise of God from the Holy Scriptures. We seek not the world’s approval but God’s favour. So we are indeed the sons of God right now whether the world accept it or whether we believe it. As though this is not enough consolation, we are told though it does not appear that we are sons of God, we know when Christ appears, we shall be like Him and shall see Him as He is. So when Christ comes again, we shall be like Him who was raised in glory, honour and power. We shall be like Christ! We shall have our resurrected body just like Christ’s body according to Philippians 3:21: Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself. Our true nature as sons of God will be completely realized when we are adorned with glory and power like Moses and Elijah seen on the Mount of Transfiguration. We shall be changed indeed and we will no longer be plagued with trouble, weakness, sickness, infirmities and heartaches. All the weaknesses, failures and troubles will be a thing of the past. We will be fully transformed when Christ appears. This will take place when Christ comes back for us to catch His Bride away. Right now, it does not appear that we are indeed the sons of God. For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven: If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked. For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life. (2 Corinthians 5:2-4) That is why we sigh and long with great anticipation and expectation for our change to come.

The Rejection of the Sons of God / 10 When we realize that full manifestation as sons of God coming back with our Lord in glory, the world will be forced to accept us for who we really are. We will come back to this world with the Lord in glory and power to be admired by all that are in the world. Right now, we are no mean citizens in this world. We come from a far country where our city has foundations whose builder and maker is God. We come from a better country. We are the sons of God coming back to inherit this world with our Lord. We will be recognized at last for who we really are for we are indeed the sons of the living God.

The Purification of the Sons of God / 11 Because of this truth we are told in 1 John 3:3 And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure. If you have this hope in you when Christ comes again in power and you shall be like Him, you will purify yourself. You will surely want to purify yourself. Do you know why? Because of your highly exalted status as sons of God right now, you will want to behave yourself. The Lord is pure and so you want to be pure to be like Christ as well. So you are no ordinary people in this world. You are bought with a price even by the precious blood of Christ. You have divine royal blood flowing in you and you will not want to live like everyone else in this world in filthiness and corruption. You will not want to defile yourself with the world. You will not want to do anything that is unbecoming of the conduct as a son of God. God’s sons have a higher order of conduct. Snakes crawl because they are snakes and birds fly because they are birds. Sinners sin because they are sinners but sons of God are higher than the sons of Adam destined to inherit this world. Though as a man, we are made above animal lives but lower than angels, as sons of God, we are like the angels in heaven. So we have to live in circumspection not to defile the honour and glory of God’s holy name in this world. As such, we Christians who have this hope of Christ coming again to inherit this world as join-heirs with Christ, we purify ourselves. The motivation to purify ourselves comes from the knowledge of who we really are according to Scriptures. Another reason why we purify ourselves being sons of God is because as a corporate body we are the Bride of Christ. For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ. (2 Corinthians 11:2) Why was Paul jealous of the Christians in Corinth? As a bride, she is supposed to be a chaste virgin. If you were the bridegroom and you discovered that your fiancée was dating other men and her heart was after other men, how would you feel? Do you look forward to your wedding? That is why Paul was jealous of the believers in Corinth. The Christians in that church were by and large carnal. Paul did not want the church to set her affection on the world and the devil but on the Lord her coming Bridegroom. Christ is going to marry a virgin bride and not a harlot so the bride has to purify herself to be ready for the wedding. The bride is preparing for the coming wedding and so she should purify herself. Moreover, she is not marrying any ordinary man; she is marrying the Lord Jesus Christ, the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

The Purification of the Sons of God / 12 When Esther was to marry that earthly monarch, she had to purify herself twelve months; six months with oil of myrrh, and six months with sweet odours, and with other things for the purifying of the women before the wedding day. What more do you expect from none other than the Creator of the Universe? This wedding concerns the Lord Jesus Christ and His Church. How much more should we sons of God as the Bride of Christ purify ourselves to get ready for that Royal Wedding day? This is no ordinary earthly event. This is an event that brings heaven down to earth so that the days on earth will be as the days of heaven upon the earth. This preparation is urgent and important for that event will be seen by the whole world what great kindness God has bestowed upon us sons of God to be join-heirs with Christ. The world will get to see what this Bride of Christ is like in that day. That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. (Ephesians 5:27) The Bride of Christ is to be without spot and blemish on that wedding day. No bride ever walks into the wedding reception in pyjamas with unclean bodies, uncombed hair and unbrushed teeth. The bride is adorned with the best wedding gown and decked with gold and precious stones to befit that bridegroom whom she is marrying. The bride must be pure inwardly to fit that external purity and glory she is clothed upon on her wedding. Inner and outer purity must match to befit that happy occasion of the wedding for the Bride and Groom. Unfortunately, many brides though adorned with outward purity in pure white, inwardly, they are defiled. You might probably know some people living together as husband and wife though they are not married. When I was a very young Christian, I went for a holiday with some colleagues. There was this colleague who was a Christian who boasted a lot about his work for the Lord during his younger days. His girl friend also went with us. But they stayed in the same hotel room living like husband and wife. I wonder what other unsaved colleagues think of them as Christians. They only got married in a church much later. Were they good examples? Are they setting the right examples, especially for the unsaved? Is this acceptable? You may say this is normal and everyone is doing it. Are you sure? Is everyone doing it in Pakistan, India and many other countries? Have you heard about honour killing? Do you know the bride could be put to death when the groom discovered she was not a chaste virgin after the wedding? Laban only brought his daughter to Jacob’s tent after the

The Purification of the Sons of God / 13 wedding? Apparently Laban had better sense and higher standards than many people in our day. Do you believe the practice is to let the couple live as husband and wife before the wedding? Yes everyone is doing it and I know of friends and relatives doing it. But is it acceptable? Yes, it is acceptable in this perverse depraved generation of our westernized society. But are you and I sons of God like everybody in this world? No. We are not everybody but we are some special body, we are the sons of God, the bride of Christ. Why do people live like husband and wife and then decide to get married later. The advantage is this. If things did not work out, they could still go their separate ways. On paper, they are still considered single and unmarried and not widows, widowers or divorcees. They come out smelling like a rose. They may look good on paper before the State, but they are bodily defiled and not befit the purity of the wedding gown they wear on wedding day. There are people in this world who bellyache when they receive a wedding invitation. They complained that they had just received a ticket or a summon as though they had committed a parking or a traffic offence. Attend wedding cost the time and money. They do not like to attend weddings especially so when they know that the man and woman have been living like husband and wife for a long time. Why do they suddenly decide to get married? To scam people to pay for their wedding dinner? Why not wait until a few children come along then get married. The children can be involved as flower girls to join in the celebration. You may say I am being sarcastic and I admit I am. When you put the cart before the horse and get things all wrong, there is nothing to celebrate for the couple to start their new lives together. The wedding becomes a burden and a formality and there is nothing to look forward to. It is a sham and a scam.

The Marriage of the Sons of God / 14 But the wedding of the Lord Jesus Christ is special and spectacular. It is not going to be like any ordinary wedding in this world. He is marrying a chaste virgin, the Church, the Bride of Christ. That is why those sons of God having this hope of the Lord’s appearing will purify themselves for this great event of the marriage to the Lamb of God. This wedding is unlike an ordinary wedding. The Lord will kick start this wedding by personally coming to pick up His Bride and bring her to heaven for this wedding. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words. (1 Thessalonians 4:16-19) This is a very great event where the Church, the Bride of Christ has been waiting for coming to two thousand years. Many sons of God since the Church Age have been purifying themselves getting ready to be married to the Lord Jesus Christ. The Lord is the Bridegroom and He could have sent His angels to come and fetch the Bride for the Wedding. King David only sent his soldiers to fetch Abigail to be his wife. But the Lord does not delegate this task to any of His trusted angels. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout. The Lord is really loved sick for the Church, His Bride. He loves the Church and He paid with His precious blood to redeem this Bride for Himself. He has been waiting to marry His Bride for a very long time as well. So the Lord will come personally to bring His Bride to heaven for the wedding. All those who have been purifying for this event will be glad and rejoice in this royal, auspicious event. The Church will finally get to be called to the wedding hall in heaven where angels and spirits of just men made perfect are waiting to see the Lord united with His Bride as one. Right now, the Head of the Church is in heaven and members of the church together with many dead bodies of the Church still lie buried on earth. The Church will finally get united with Christ to fulfill what Christ desired about the Church. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. (John 14:3) This is what the Lord promised His disciples. The Lord truly wants His Bride to be with Him to share in all His glory. So praise the Lord and glory to the Highest for His great love towards us!

The Marriage of the Sons of God / 15 While the Lord comes to catch His bride away, all hell will break loose on earth where Israel will be dealt with together with the Gentile nations to settle all the controversies during the time of Jacob’s trouble. The nation of Israel will come into focus again. This is the time where Israel will eventually be saved and the nation recognize and accept their Messiah when the Lord Jesus Christ comes back with His Bride after all the tribulations that will take place on earth. The Bride of Christ has been promised deliverance from the wrath to come. And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come. (1 Thessalonians 1:10) So the Church, the Bride of Christ is looking forward to the appearing of her Lord from heaven to deliver her from the wrath to come. The Church is not looking forward to receive God’s wrath when He judges this world in fury with Israel getting all the attention on earth. God’s wrath is mentioned thirteen times in the Book of Revelation after chapter three where the church disappears and not mention again until Revelation chapter nineteen. If you think being a member of the Church, the Bride of Christ and you are going to go through that period of wrath poured forth upon the earth known as the time of Jacob’s trouble, you must be severely delusional. Indeed as member of the bride of Christ, we look forward to the coming of the Lord. We look forward to our wedding day in heaven attended by heavenly dignitaries. Because we have this hope in us, we purify ourselves to prepare for this great day so that when Christ appears we might not be ashamed. Christ will surely as He promised come again personally to fetch us for this wedding in heaven. Do you know what happen after that? Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready. And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints. And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God. (Revelation 19:7-9) So the Bride of Christ upon arrival in heaven finally becomes the Lamb’s wife. Praise the Lord, the wedding is over and the consummation of this union with Christ has finally become a reality. The wife is said to have made herself ready. After the wedding, the Bride becomes the Lamb’s wife. The wife is getting herself ready to come back to planet Earth with the Lord.

The Marriage of the Sons of God / 16 Do you see yourself there in verse 9? Will you be there in that glorious assembly in heaven? Do you read about the fine linen and the righteousness of the saints? Will not you want to purify yourself right now on earth to prepare for this great and special event to take place in heaven? Are you ready to join in this marriage supper of the Lamb of God?

The Manifestation of the Sons of God / 17 If you read on, the Lord is bringing His wife back to earth to smash up all His enemies and set up His own Kingdom. The Church that becomes the wife of the Lamb will rule and reign with Christ as join-heirs with Christ during the Kingdom Age revealed in Revelation chapter 20 which will last one thousand years. Will not you get excited about what the Lord has prepared for us who love Him and love His appearing? The day will eventually come and so be patient. Not only we as sons of God have been waiting for a long time since we read about this promises, the earth and all creatures are also looking forward to that wonderful day. For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God. For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope, (Romans 8:19&20) You see, this world, the creatures and the earth are already very tired and have been putting up with the filth generated by depraved fallen men for six thousand years. They want it changed. They cannot stand it anymore. In fact, the Lord promised to destroy those who destroy the earth. And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth. (Revelation 11:18) Due to greed, men have been abusing this earth for a very long time. They do not follow the law of the Lord to allow the land to rest. Moreover fallen men in our days have been inventing weapons of mass destruction and causing great harm to this earth in our generation. This old world is getting old and worn out. The earth cannot stand the sins and filth of men anymore. They want to be delivered from bondage and corruption just as we wish to be clothed on with immortality. So the world travails and groans and waits for the manifestation of the sons of God. Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now. (Romans 8:21&22) If only we can hear what this earth is trying to tell us. Can you imagine the suffering of the earth and all creatures suffering in silent agony until now? If only they can vocalize their pains and frustration perhaps men would be more mindful of living in moderation on earth. The earth and all the creatures are tired and they want to be delivered

The Manifestation of the Sons of God / 18 and they are waiting for the manifestation of the sons of God. They want the presence of the sons of God to be here to govern men on earth. So when Christ brings us sons of God back to earth to rule and reign, healing of the land and men will begin. The river of life that flows from the Temple in Jerusalem according to Ezekiel 47 will become a reality. The division of the land grant revealed in Ezekiel 48 will be fulfilled. The Kingdom Age would be one of glory. Man and beast will be at peace. The earth will bring forth in abundance and longevity of men on earth will be realized. The sons of God in power and glory will be ruling on earth. Righteousness will be the theme on earth when the King of glory is sitting on the throne of David on earth. Then will be fulfilled the prophecy of yesteryears. For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea. (Habakkuk 2:14) So two thousand years ago when the Son of God was first manifested upon the earth as a babe born of a virgin, the host of heaven shouted for joy and gave glory to God. And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men. Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men. (Luke 2:10-14) Imagine the glory on earth when the Son of God brings back all the redeemed sons of God to come back and reign on earth in the near future! It will be simply too amazing and astounding beyond measure. Therefore brethren, the Lord does not save us to make us slaves to serve Him. God saves us and make us sons of God to inherit a Kingdom and share in the glory prepared for His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, the Saviour of the world. There is no time for self-pity wallowing in defeat whatever our infirmities or besetting sin may be. Wherefore lift up the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees; And make straight paths for your feet, lest that which is lame be turned out of the way; but let it rather be healed. Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord: (Hebrews 12:12-14) May the Lord help us to remember who we really are and look forward to that blessed day where we will be united with Christ as one and share in all the glory in the coming Kingdom.
