Getting Started with ActivInspire | 1 day | Get started creating engaging, interactive lessons using ActivInspire, Promethean’s award-winning lesson creation software. Step-by-step, hands-on instruction will ensure that participants will have the foundational skills needed to begin integrating interactivity into lessons that actively involve students. Prerequisites: None

Building on Your ActivInspire Skills | 1 day | Go beyond the foundation skills developed in the Getting Started with ActivInspire course. Build on the lesson-creation skills already mastered to add increased interactivity. The tools and capabilities introduced in this course will expand the ability to design lessons that invite students to be active participants. Prerequisites: Getting Started with ActivInspire

Advanced Skills with ActivInspire| 1 day | Take the skills taught in the Getting Started with ActivInspire and the Building on Your ActivInspire Skills course to the next level with stepby-step, guided hands-on instruction that will introduce AtivInspire’s advanced tools and capabilities. Combine these well-developed skills to engage students in creative lessons that can be taught in the classroom the next day. Prerequisites: Getting Started with ActivInspire and Building on Your ActivInspire Skills courses

Mentoring with ActivInspire | 1 day | Using knowledge and experience with ActivInspire, begin directing teachers at the school and district levels by sharing its capabilities for adding interactivity and student engagement to lessons. Re-deliver the three-course ActivInspire sequence to guide and mentor colleagues as they build their skills with the software and its integration into their daily lessons. Prerequisites: Getting Started with ActivInspire, Building on Your ActivInspire Skills, and Advanced Skills with ActivInspire courses

Promethean Master Educator Program | 3 days | This is a course pathway for educators who are experienced at teaching with Promethean ActivInspire instructional technology and have a passion for sharing the use of technology to improve teaching and learning. This three-module hands-on program guides participants through instructional design and advanced technology integration while exploring modeling and presentation skills. Participants will be expected to provide an original ActivInspire/ClassFlow flipchart that they will edit and deliver during the course. All participants who complete this course will receive Promethean Master Educator status and certificate. The Promethean Master Educator Program can only be delivered by a Certified Promethean Education Consultant for participants to receive Promethean Master Educator status. Prerequisites: Completion of Getting Started with ActivInspire and Building on Your ActivInspire Skills or ClassFlow Essentials and Beyond ClassFlow Essentials courses or 1+ year(s) equivalent experience with ActivInspire/ClassFlow software, Ability to confidently create an original ActivInspire/ClassFlow lesson.

Your 1:1 Classroom| 1 day| Today’s classrooms include technology that allows students to participate in a lesson individually from their personal device or a classroom set of devices. This participation allows them to contribute to the lesson or demonstrate their knowledge of the material. Leverage the full potential of the 1:1 devices in the classroom to transform teaching and learning. Develop best-practice strategies and practices for integrating mobile devices into daily instruction. This course can be customized to focus on iPads, Chromebooks, or Android devices as well as Office 365 and cloud-based applications. Prerequisites: Access to the course-appropriate device with Internet capabilities.

Using Google in the Classroom | 1 day| Collaborative learning and digital literacy come together with Google’s suite of productivity tools for the classroom to create, share, and edit files in real time. Because all documents are stored in the cloud, students work from any device connected to the Internet – laptops, tablets, or hand-held phones – as they collaborate on projects. Learn from a Google Certified Educator how the capability of Google applications can be integrated into lessons. Prerequisites: Access to the Google Suite and a device with Internet capabilities and the Chrome browser installed

Learning with the ActivTable | 1 day| Developing 21st century skills, such as collaboration and creative problem solving, is necessary to prepare today’s students for their future. ActivTable activities will allow students, working in small groups, to engage with others to demonstrate curiosity, interest, and collaboration in the construction of their own learning. Learn to manage, create, and differentiate learning with the ActivTable as the centerpiece. Prerequisites: ActivTable

Professional Development Technology is ubiquitous in today’s classrooms. Frequently, the technology found in the classroom represents a variety of devices with varying capabilities. Increasingly, this technology is a tablet or a smart-phone that a student brings into the classroom with them. The challenge is bringing these devices together in a device-agnostic, connected environment that will allow them to be used seamlessly as tools for teaching and learning. ClassFlow from Promethean is a cloud-based platform that gives teachers the ability to utilize the power of classroom technology to create lessons from any Internet-connected device, deliver the lesson, and assess student progress. This sequence of courses will begin with the fundamentals of using ClassFlow to create lessons and deliver lessons in your classroom. After mastering the essentials of using ClassFlow, additional courses will introduce skills such as creating standalone assessments, assignments, item banks, and learning packs. Explore advanced features of ClassFlow that will allow you to chat with individual students or an entire group, build and use dynamic rubrics, and create courses. ClassFlow Essentials | 1 day | Begin using ClassFlow to create and deliver lessons that will invite students into the lesson with opportunities for engagement, collaboration, and communication. Lessons created in ClassFlow can bring high-energy, real-time interaction with students. Build lessons using familiar resources, such as Word documents and PowerPoint presentations, along with ClassFlow’s built-in resources. Connect students to lessons, deliver the lesson, and include assessment questions as part of the lesson to provide the information needed to make instructional decisions about student progress and comprehension. Prerequisites: Access to a laptop or tablet device with Internet capability

Beyond ClassFlow Essentials | 1 day | Beyond the fundamentals of lesson creation and delivery, ClassFlow offers additional opportunities for real-time interaction with students. Design meaningful activities that allow students to connect with content during instruction as well as discover the flexibility of the Assignment Builder to create and deliver assignments in or out of class. Send lesson instructions and answer questions from individual students or the entire group using the built-in chat feature. Prerequisites: Access to a laptop or tablet device with Internet capability and completion of the ClassFlow Essentials course.

Leveraging ClassFlow for Collaboration | 1 day | Using Learning Packs Builder, ClassFlow makes it possible to create a repository for efficiently bundling teaching materials (lessons, assignments, assessments, and other resources) to make them easily accessible. In addition to creating opportunities for student collaboration, ClassFlow makes it possible for colleagues to share lessons and teaching resources. Create a learning journey by sequencing units and lessons into a full course, and attach rubrics to allow students to self-assess their progress with assignments. Award student performance and manage progress through the ClassFlow customizable badging system. Prerequisites: Access to a laptop or tablet device with Internet capability and completion of the ClassFlow Essentials course

ClassFlow Train the Trainer The Promethen Professional Development Team has designed a ClassFlow Train the Trainer program founded on digital pedagogy and driven by innovative instructional methods to assist districts with defining technology transformation. Successful professional development includes creating sustainable implementations that support lesson delivery and student learning. The following courses are designed to build on the ClassFlow skills and knowledge developed in the ClassFlow foundational courses. ClassFlow Train the Trainer is designed for district-level educators who will be leaders or mentors with responsibility for building capacity and continuity with ClassFlow. Lesson Development with ClassFlow | 1 day | ClassFlow’s tools lend themselves to multiple uses in the classroom every day in every lesson. Take a deeper dive into developing lessons that incorporate built-in ClassFlow resources and publisher-created content as well as resources teachers have developed in applications such as Word or PowerPoint as part of a ClassFlow lesson. Prerequisites: Access to a laptop or tablet device with Internet capability and completion of the ClassFlow Essentials, Beyond ClassFlow Essentials, and Leveraging ClassFlow for Collaboration courses.

Leading Instruction with ClassFlow | 1 day | With the guidance of the instructor, develop the best-practice skills for mentoring new and veteran ClasssFlow users. Participants will develop training materials, including examples of the application of ClassFlow, that are relevant to the grade level and/or curriculum of the group learning to use ClassFlow. Demonstrating ClassFlow as an easy-to-use teaching tool will build enthusiasm for integrating ClassFlow as part of every lesson. Prerequisites: Access to a laptop or tablet device with Internet capability and completion of the ClassFlow Essentials, Beyond ClassFlow Essentials, Leveraging ClassFlow for Collaboration, and Lesson Development courses.
