THE OFFICIAL ALIVE FESTIVAL CAMPING GUIDE Are you interested in camping at the Alive Festival with your friends, family, youth group or church group? If, so this guide is meant for you! In addition to world-class music and concerts, seminars, swimming and food offerings, the Alive Festival provides the amazing opportunity to immerse yourself in the festival experience by camping in the great outdoors. Camping at the Alive Festival is increasingly popular because it offers easy access to the festival, doesn’t break the bank, and is just more fun when camping with family and friends! Remember your Total Event and Weekend Wristbands include free Primitive Camping and parking. We do have Electric Sites available for those with RVs or motorhomes. However, this particular guide is for those who plan to tentcamp in our primitive camping areas. If camping isn’t your thing, there are plenty of nearby hotels so you can commute and park for free in our One Day parking lots. Atwood Lake Park is a beautiful, 300+ acre campground located 30 minutes south of Canton, Ohio and just east of Zoar, Ohio in the heart of Amish country. The park is surrounded by a stunning 1,500-acre lake with a sandy beach and swimming plus many other recreational options. Atwood Lake Park is owned and operated by MWCD, a division of the State of Ohio, and is a well maintained campground with open and wooded camp sites plus paved roads and lighted walkways and numerous amenities. Our goal with this guide is to provide answers to your questions because we know a new experience like Alive can sometimes be scary. We’ll let you know what tickets to buy, what to bring, what a typical day at Alive looks like and other helpful hints. Hopefully, over the next few pages we can answer almost all of your questions and make you feel more confident when driving into Atwood Lake Park during the week of Alive! THE OFFICIAL ALIVE FESTIVAL CAMPING GUIDE

WHAT KIND OF WRISTBAND DO I NEED TO CAMP AT ALIVE? There are two types of wristbands that allow you to camp at Alive: Total Event Wristbands and Weekend Wristbands. Upon arriving at the festival, all attendees will have their paper (or electronic) ticket scanned and will be given the correct wristband to wear throughout the festival designating what they purchased (Total Event, Weekend or One Day). These wristbands are numbered and are only assigned to one purchaser and are not exchangeable or usable by multiple people. No exchanging or sharing of wristbands is allowed. Please also note, One Day Tickets do not include camping so make sure to get the right wristband if you’re camping. Total Event Wristbands allow you to enter the festival on Wednesday morning at 8 AM and camp all week. This includes four nights of Primitive Camping and four days of over 60 concerts, seminars, swimming, kids programs and more. The festival ends on Saturday night, but you are allowed to stay overnight and enjoy the park on Sunday until 4 PM. Weekend Wristbands allow you to enter the festival on Friday at 8 AM and camp for the weekend until Sunday at 4 PM. These wristbands also include Primitive Camping, swimming, all concerts and seminars on Friday and Saturday and more. We also offer Early Camping Wristbands for those who want to come in a day early and enjoy the park on Tuesday. Starting on Tuesday at 8 AM, you can come set up your campsite early and get everything ready before the festival starts on Wednesday. This option is really popular among Alive attendees and allows you feel a little bit more relaxed while setting up and get your campsite all ready for the week.

I AM BRINGING A GROUP TO ALIVE. WHAT SHOULD I KNOW? This section is to help those brave new (and experienced) leaders who are organizing a group to come to Alive. Part of our desire at Alive is to see churches and youth groups commit to spending all four days at the festival. We love to see this happen because we know the spiritual and relational impact this can have on kids. God always seems to do incredible things when we commit a whole week to growing closer to Him. With that in mind, we have two important options for those bringing groups: Group Rate tickets and Payment Plans. For those who are considering bringing a group, our Group Rate discount is the best option. This allows you to save $10 on each ticket ordered when ordering 10 or more! All you have to do is select the Group Rate option for whichever ticket type you’d like to buy (Total Event, Weekend or even One Day). Our other option we offer is a Payment Plan for large groups of over 15 tickets. The Payment Plan allows you to lock in a discounted ticket price and make periodic payments over time. For Payment Plan scheduling and other details, please visit alive.org/tickets or call the Alive office at 330.966.0023. When organizing a group to attend Alive (especially at your church), remember to begin promoting sign ups early! This will help you find out the date you want to order your wristbands by so you can lock in a great price for everyone attending. It also helps to find the price each member of your group will be paying so they can decide quicker. To find all of our ticket discount deadlines, head to alive.org/tickets. Hopefully, by now you’ll see bringing a group to Alive isn’t that crazy, but instead it’s an incredible opportunity to build up a community of believers! Thousands of people do it each year at the festival, so you’re not alone. And as always, if you have more questions, please don’t hesitate to call or email us.

THE OFFICIAL ALIVE FESTIVAL CAMPING GUIDE

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN I ARRIVE AT ALIVE? Now that you know what to buy and what to bring, you might be thinking, “What happens when I arrive at Alive?” Well, this section is designed to help you feel more confident when driving into Atwood this summer! If you are a Total Event camper, you’ll want to arrive on Tuesday or Wednesday (Thursday, if needed) and if you’re a Weekend camper, you’ll arrive on Friday to set up your campsite. At 8 AM each of those days, campers can officially enter the park and be placed in their campsite. Campers will follow the signs and line up in the “Campers Only” lanes. Our Guest Services Staff will help guide you to the proper lane when you enter the campground, so don’t worry. Since we do not mail tickets, each ticket will either need to be printed (or saved on your smartphone) so we can individually scan the ticket and then place the correct wristband for each guest on their wrist. (Note: you may not have internet access as you enter, so please print or save the ticket on your phone so you can easily retrieve it for admittance into the festival). If you forget the ticket, don’t panic. We can still get you your wristband if you bring a valid form of ID. Group Leaders: If you’re bringing a large group to the festival (i.e. Youth Leader at a church) we would highly suggest printing the tickets ahead of time so we can quickly scan each printed ticket, then do a head count to make sure each of the tickets match the amount of people in the cars, and then we can hand out wristbands to them. This will go a long way in making sure we get you into the festival as efficiently as possible. Once you have received your wristband, placed it on your wrist and have entered the campground, our Guest Services Team Leaders will greet you, check your wristband and help determine what type of camping area best suits your group or family needs and also determine availability, etc. (wooded sites, open sites, near the lake, near a certain stage, etc.). Atwood Lake Park has plenty of camping areas available, so there’s no need to worry about available space when you arrive. Note: Reservations are not taken for Primitive Camping, so please arrive as early as you think is necessary. Our Guest Services team will have you follow them in their golf cart to the area that best accommodates your group or family. Please note, based on many factors (your requested area, size of group, weather, etc.) our Guest Services Team reserves the right to place your group in a suitable location. We always strive to place you in a camping area that best fits your request and needs. Since this will be your “home” for 4 or 5 days, we want you to be happy with your site! The Guest Services Team will give your specific group the necessary amount of space to accommodate your group’s size, amount of tents, and one vehicle pass for the vehicle staying at the campsite. Extra vehicles can be parked for free in our overflow lot after you’ve set up your campsite. Please note, for the safety of all campers and attendees, we require that all vehicles that are parked by the campsite area remain parked throughout the entire festival and do not move. In the case of an emergency, please ask our Guest Services Team for assistance. Once you have your site, you are free to set it up and make it feel like home! If you have any questions at the festival, the Guest Services Team will always be willing to help answer any questions or concerns you have. We know this is a lot of information to process and you’ll probably have more questions, but this covers the basics of entering the festival. Rest assured, it’s usually a very smooth process and we have a great group of volunteers who help us make all of this possible.
