Gina Konstantopoulos PhD candidate, University of Michigan Ms. Konstantopoulos was awarded a Sylvan C. Coleman and Pam Coleman Memorial Fund Fellowship to conduct research and writing for her dissertation, “They are Seven: Demons and Monsters in the Mesopotamian Textual and Artistic Tradition.”

POSTDOCTORAL CURATORIAL FELLOWSHIPS ARMS AND ARMOR Rachel Parikh PhD, University of Cambridge: 2013; Research Associate, Art Institute of Chicago Dr. Parikh was awarded a Curatorial Research Fellowship to research and catalogue a group of approximately 1,400 pieces of arms and armor from India and South East Asia. EUROPEAN PAINTINGS AND MODERN AND CONTEMPORARY ART Eva Reifert PhD, Free University of Berlin: 2010 Dr. Reifert was awarded an Andrew W. Mellon Postdoctoral Curatorial Fellowship to assist with research for the forthcoming exhibition, “Unfinished.”

ISLAMIC ART Matthew Saba PhD, University of Chicago: 2014 Dr. Saba was awarded an Andrew W. Mellon Postdoctoral Curatorial Fellowship to catalogue and produce finding aids for The Ernst Herzfeld Papers and The Nishapur Excavation Records and to work with the Department of Islamic Art and other relevant departments in the Museum to develop ways of facilitating access to these materials. MEDIEVAL ART Julia Perratore PhD, University of Pennsylvania: 2012 Dr. Perratore was awarded a Curatorial Research Fellowship to research and catalogue the Museum’s medieval sculpture (1100–1520). Mellon Fellowship to conduct research on the technology and conservation of Islamic ceramic materials and the pigments used on stucco decorations excavated from Nishapur.

Mr. Van de Moortel was awarded a Sherman Fairchild Fellowship to study Western paintings conservation, materials and practices. Ms. Hughes was awarded an Andrew W. Mellon Fellowship to research and test new aqueous cleaning solutions and techniques. PHOTOGRAPH CONSERVATION Janka Krizanova PhD, Paper and Photograph Conservation, Academy of Fine Arts and Design, Bratislava, Slovakia: 2013. Dr. Krizanova was awarded a Research Scholarship in Photograph Conservation to continue a systematic survey and characterization of the photographic material in the Diane Arbus Archive.
