New Church-Wide Study
Pure Praise Coming this Fall This 9-week study will inspire new passion and understanding for worship. The focus bypasses technique and timing; instead it zeroes in on the hearts of worship leaders and worshippers. Pure Praise is an ideal study for anyone with the questions, “What is worship—and how can I worship more authentically?” Readers are encouraged to read the bible with each lesson to allow their hearts and minds to meditate and absorb the truths from each reading. Pure Praise is an invitation to a nine-week personal bible study combined with group sessions that review the following: The Meaning (weeks 1 & 2) The Motivation (week 3) The Methods (weeks 4 & 5) The Ministers (week 6) The Means (week 7) The Mission (week 8) The Main Thing (week 9) “The more we get to know our God, the more we fall in love with Him, which is the ultimate source of all our worship,” says author of Pure Praise, Dwayne Moore. Praise for adults and youth coming this fall.
Coming this fall as part of I Worship KIDMO (K-5th Grades) Drive On your mark, get set, the race is on! Johnny Rogers is behind the wheel and he's going to keep us right on track as we discover that special purpose for our lives in DRIVE! Drive is about learning how to fuel up with Awesome Worship Every Day. Kids will break out the racing shoes as they lean that Super Servants Serve a Second Mile. We'll encourage our friends through prayer, caravan behind Jesus as we follow his lead, and don't forget to bring along a lost friend. We all want to get across the finish line together! Watch out for roadblocks, distractions and speed traps along the way, not to mention our all-star cast featuring Benny and Dr. Hiss, State Trooper Phi I, Hank's Heap-O-Deals car lot and Vladimir the engineer. DRIVE is all about living life on purpose so bring on the checkered flag! Episode 1: Peter starts the church and gets them fueled up and worshipping God. Acts 2:40-47; Psalm 66:4 Episode 2: Peter's friends prayed Peter through a difficult time. Acts 12:5-17, Romans 1:12 Episode 3: Peter leaves everything to follow Jesus. Psalm 25:4 Episode 4: Jesus demonstrates how to serve others. Romans 12:11 Episode 5: Fill up the empty seats for the trip with your lost friend. Romans 10:9 Lil'K (Ages 2-4) God's Kid, Jesus, grew and you are growing too! In God's Kid, Lil' K and Kai discover that Jesus was an amazing kid! He traveled with his family to Jerusalem and he listened, learned and obeyed. Jesus even taught the temple teachers about God! Jesus was loved by everyone who knew him, and his example can teach us how to live! Sing along to "Just Like Jesus" during Songtime, and learn about Jesus' visit to the temple during our Bible Adventure. Look out for the doodads, as they help us discover just how Jesus grew. Professor Sock has grown too! His new invention, the "Bigantallorator" has made him super-sized and super-wise! Week 1: Jesus is God's Kid - Jesus visits the temple. Luke 2:41-52 & 6:8-17 Week 2: Jesus Obeys - Jesus obeys his mom and dad. Luke 2:41-52 Week 3: Jesus Listens - Jesus listens to the temple teachers. Luke 2:41-52 Week 4: Jesus Goes To Church - Jesus stays in the temple for 3 days. Luke 2:41-52 Week 5: Jesus Grows - The transfiguration. Matthew 17:1-9 Pure Praise for Youth During this six-week bible study, youth will be challenged to "go extreme" in their worship of God. But it's not their body they'll push to the max. Instead, they'll stretch their soul. If they accept this challenge, they'll condition their heart and mind in ways they might never have thought possible. As a result, they'll have the privilege of knowing the God of the Universe and worshipping him more intimately and powerfully than they ever imagined! This relational resource will help youth and youth leaders moved past the idea of worship as just "singing and praying" and actually connect with God by using practical, daily exercises in praise that encourage readers to apply what they're learning about worship. It also instructs youth in the biblical standards of why and how they should praise God.
Requesting childcare for your ministry group is as easy as…
1 2 3
Submit your request to the Childcare Coordinator by the 15th of the month prior to your event by emailing
[email protected]. For example, if your event is March 10th, submit your request by February 15.
Have your event participants reserve their spot in childcare to you or a designated member of your group in advance.
Respond to the Childcare Coordinator by giving her the names and ages of the children attending the Wednesday prior to your event by emailing
[email protected]. For example, if your event is on Sunday, email your reservation list by the Wednesday before.
It’s that easy! At St. Andrews, we think of childcare as a 360° ministry. It ministers to families who would not be able to participate in events if they didn’t have a safe place for their children to go. It ministers to the children through Christian lessons and activities. It ministers to our staff because many of them are students or moms who need a flexible schedule and the option to bring their kids with them to work. Thank you for being part of this ministry!

G-Rated Dinner and a Movie Family Movie Festival You’ll share in a tasty meal, a great movie—and then relate the movie to your Christian walk. Everyone bring a potluck dish to share (you can even make it more fun by bringing a theme related dish related to that night’s movie). We’ll enjoy lively discussion t the dinner table with Talk Starters for each film. Then we’ll watch the movie together and enjoy some really great snacks. Afterward, we’ll discuss the spiritual themes of the movie. Sharing meals together will increase the dynamics of the fellowship in our group. We’ll eat and laugh together. We’ll learn about each other and build memories that will last a lifetime. We’ll learn to be a community. Not only that, but there’s much to learn about ourselves and God in the movies. We’ll see disobedience, betrayal, regret, and revenge. We’ll also see love, sacrifice, grace, and redemption. All of these themes, played out in a variety of family-friendly comedies and adventure stores, can powerfully teach all ages about the God we serve and how to follow him ore. Besides that, watching these movies with an eye toward the spiritual will help our families look for God in every movie or TV show we watch. All Movie Night times are from 5:30-8:30 pm, beginning with dinner first. July 10 – Finding Nemo July 24 – Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (1971 version) August 7 – Cars August 21 – Meet the Robinsons
