Security and privacy by design Threema Work provides strong security and comprehensive data protection. No other messenger offers this kind of security, metadata restraint, and confidentiality.

All communication is fully end-to-end encrypted – including status messages – using Elliptic Curve Diffie-Hellman (ECDH)/Curve25519. A fallback to an unencrypted connection is impossible.

Chats and messages are stored with strong encryption on the device (AES-256 with optional passphrase).

a Swiss company, Threema is subject to Switzerland’s strict “Federal Act on Data Protection” (DSG) and the accompanying “Ordinance to the Federal Act on Data Protection” (VDSG).

on Article 25, paragraph 6 of the EU’s Data Protection Directive, the domestic law in Switzerland is similar to the EU‘s legislation in regard to data protection.

Rollout and configuration Threema Work can be easily distributed, either with or without an MDM system.

Without MDM Distribution of the app without an MDM system could hardly be simpler: Each user receives a login from the administrator. The users are prompted to enter this login when launching the app for the first time. The administrator can generate and distribute the logins using the management cockpit. The management cockpit provides numerous useful features for efficient administration and user management.
