The Magee Family News Letter July 2008

“It’ “It’s summer time and the livin’ is easy” (Unless you’re in South Africa) Hello all, hopefully I have been able to save this attachment so that everyone can open it. I will also put it as the body of the email but, I know that the pictures get shifted around when I do that. (Please try to open the attachment. Right click on the little box in the subject line and choose open.) Mick had the idea of writing a regular humor column for us. I love it. Is there anyone else who would like to give it a go? Any topic is welcome. How about computer or other tips, thought for the day, recipes, birthday list, travel tips or how to choose a bottle of wine etc.

From Ireland: Ireland Dolores was kind enough to kick us off: “John and I are celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary on Saturday. We start with a mass and we shall renew our wedding vows. It is a special occasion and we wanted to mark it with mass and the priest suggested a short renewing of our vows. A friend and her daughter are singing hymns so it will be more personal. Also the priest is a friend of ours......... so it should be fun. We then all come back to the house and have, food, drink and music.

Also Pat Magee will be celebrating his 65th birthday on 9th July; he is having a meal out with his family. I think that is all the news from Annacloy. Doe”

South Africa: Africa Congratulations Congratulations to Claire & Miles! Claire is pregnant (you remember the romantic honey moon pictures from last edition) She is due in January 2009 and has had cravings since the moment she found out. On June22nd she writes: ” So, here is our second scan taken on Friday. Baby is now the size of an apple. It is healthy and growing as it should be. And it is now officially 12 weeks and 2 days, so I can start telling the world! The gynie tried to look what sex it is but the stubborn baby had its legs crossed and wouldn’t wake up when shook…. So it’s a………………………BABY! ☺ I think that only a lady would have her legs crossed – but we will have to wait and see ☺ And no – it is not a Pinocchio look-a-like…. That is a hand….”

Oh, Baby Apple is so beautiful!

What can I say about Mick Magee? To know him is to love him. He is quite famous in America for his film work. Most recently, he was featured in a commercial showing an old pirate ship that had men rowing in the bottom of the ship. He was a wretched slave, rowing, with other poor souls and a couple of M&M candies. It was a classic: “Don’t rock the boat, Don’t rock the boat, baby”. He is so Handsome here
