REVOLUTIONARY & INCOMPARABLE The QMILK® fiber is manufactured in a spinning reactive method based on a zero-waste processes. Technical casein and renewable resources are plasticized at a process temperature of 80 °C with water and are produced to a material in the form of filaments. These can then be cut into staple fibers. Our procedure and the use of natural and renewable raw materials will not pollute the environment.

QMILK® - CLOSE TO YOUR SKIN QMILK® is the ideal fiber for applications with direct skin contact. The fiber is a combination of natural and industrial fiber due to its properties. It gives shirts, blouses and fabrics a smooth handle and a high wearing comfort. QMILK® offers a wide spectrum! Besides staple fibers, also smooth and textured filament yarns can be offered.

BRILLIANT COLOURS

SILK LIKE CHARACTER

The major benefits of the fiber are the true brilliant colorations, a controlled shrinkage, the anibacterial properties and the termoregulating effect.

The QMILK® fiber is hypoallergenic, light (d=1.127 g/cm³) and elastic. The fiber is characterized by a soft feel and good puff up. The QMILK® fiber has a natural silk-like character.

VERSATILE

ANTIBACTERIAL

The QMILK® fiber is suitable for the use in the clothing sector, pure and in mixtures with other fibers for the use in outer- and underwear, as well as socks and stockings. However, the production of nonwoven fabrics for the home textile, to the automotive and medical applications are also possible.

The antibacterial activity can limit or prevent the growth of bacteria in the natural scale. The fibers also show their bioactive effectiveness in mixtures. The hygienic effect is ideal for many applications in the textile clothing and home textile sector, but also for medical products.

MILK MEETS TECHNOLOGY The QMILK® fiber also can be used as reinforcing fiber in technical field applications. The QMILK® fiber burns with a sooty flame, is self-extinguishing and achieves fire protection class B2 according to DIN 4102-1 and DIN 75200 . The melting temperature is between 120 and 180 °C. It is chemically resistant to acids and alkalis (in concentrated form), fuels and oils. Our fiber reacts stable to redictive and oxidateve influences Besides it has a natural UV filter.

The QMILK® fiber is a real power package. 18 of the 20 known amino acids are present in the casein (the milk protein) which is our main raw material. Casein has an extremely high glutamine and calcium content. With around 20% no other type of protein contains as much glutamine such as casein.

NATURAL CLIMATISATION The high natural moisture content of the QMILK® fiber allows possibilities for room climate control, but also home textiles are conceivable. The hygroscopicity of materials can have a total impact on the indoor climate. Materials can absorb a lot of moisture from the air and that can be given off quickly as needed to ensure a pleasant room climate.

MIXED QMILK® fibers don’t loose their effectiveness in mixtures with common fibers. A 20% mixture would still provide the amazing characteristics and will enhance the performance of your specific product. Total unique combinations and new remarkable materials are possible.

ENSNARED The crimp and pouf characteristics of the QMILK® Fiber create volume which is allowing air locks that reduce thermal conductivity.

NATURAL FABRICATION Instead of petrochemical derivatives, the QMILK® fiber is made of 100% natural and renewable raw materials. The QMILK® fiber provides comfort and safety and is characterized by numerous natural properties. The consumer receives a product with natural and ecological value.

OF COURSE - NO FOOD According to official estimations in Germany about 1.9 million tonnes of milk are not beeing capable for consumtion, each year. Because QMILK® uses a valuable resource, which is not tradable, due to government regulations, we prolong its life-cycle.

NATURALLY ANTIBACTERIAL We do not use antibacterial treatment. QMILK® unfolds an antibacterial activity against E. coli and even against Staphyllococcus aureus due to the high quality of ingredients. The bacteria cannot multiply on the QMILK® fiber. Thus QMILK® gives a soothing freshness throughout the day.

The recipes are developed in the company‘s own research and development laboratories and are tested extensively in long-term studies.
