The Edge Foundation Scholarship Scheme The Edge Foundation Scholarships have been established to encourage applications from students who aspire to achieve the highest levels in their studies and who wish to experience more practical, hands on approach to their education as a basis for their aspirational hospitality career. The Edge Foundation is one of the founding partners of the Edge Hotel School. The Edge Foundation is an independent education charity, dedicated to raising the status of practical and vocational learning. We believe that “learning by doing” should be valued equally with academic learning and that all learners should experience a mix of both. Edge Foundation Scholarships will be awarded to those students who can best demonstrate what it means to them to secure a place at the Edge Hotel School, how a vocational degree gained by “learning by doing” will help them to achieve their personal goals and why they will be an asset to the Edge Hotel School and the hospitality industry in general. How much is available? Each Edge Foundation Scholarship is worth £3,000 and is available for one student enrolled at the Edge Hotel School at the scheduled intake date of 22 February 2016 and for one student enrolled at the scheduled intake date of 26 September 2016. £1,000 of the scholarship award will be paid to the student within two weeks of the student being notified they have been awarded the scholarship. £1,000 will be payable within two weeks of the exam board confirming the student has successfully completed their level 4 study at the Edge Hotel School. The final £1,000 will be payable within two weeks of the exam board confirming the student has successfully completed their level 5 study at the Edge Hotel School. Terms and conditions: Eligibility Applicants must be able to meet the following eligibility criteria:  
