Fast alle Systeme, wie auch unseres, basieren auf dem Prinzip: Profile, Schlösser und Füllungen. Die Problematik der Verbindung ist bekannt. Die meisten Schlösser werden über ein sichtbares Schlüsselloch mittels eines Schlüssels angezogen und geöffnet.
Like most related systems, mezzo is based on the principle of panels, locking systems and fillings. After all, the problem of linkage is well known. Most locks are operated using a key that is inserted into a visible keyhole.
Wir gehen da neue Wege. Wir unterscheiden uns dadurch, dass wir kein sichtbares Schlüsselloch benötigen.
Wir nutzen die alt bewährte Keiltechnik als Vorbild. Ein kleiner Eisenkeil wird über einen Hebel (mezzo-Schlüssel) zwischen einen Stahlclip geklemmt. Dadurch entsteht eine langlebige, stabile Verbindung. Unsere Schlösser können nicht überzogen werden. Der Clip ermöglicht zusätzlich eine genaue Positionierung der Profile, bevor das Schloss endgültig verriegelt wird. Genial aber trotzdem einfach.

mezzo doesn‘t have or need a visible keyhole. We use a tried and tested wedge system. A small iron wedge is clamped between a steel clip using a lever (mezzo key). This creates a long-lasting and stable connection. As a result, it is impossible to overwind our locks. The clip also makes it possible to adjust the position of the panels before the lock is secured. Brilliant yet simple!

Freeforms are possible using bent sheets with a radius of more than 250 mm. Thus it is quite easy to construct bridges with a span of up to 8 meters.
