SCOPE The 7 th European Oxygen Steelmaking Conference focuses on new developments in the production of steel by oxygen processes and its subsequent treatment in the ladle. This conference will continue the tradition of successful services of events which took place in Stockholm (2011), Aachen (2006), Graz (2003).

The EOSC is a unique forum for the European steelmaking producers to exchange views on the status and future development of the oxygen steelmaking process. The conference programme is focused on the latest development in primary steelmaking, ladle metallurgy, plant operation experience, automotive and on-line process analyses, improving steel quality and environmental protection. This conference is included in the Conference calendar of the International Society and Steel Institutes ( see the website: www.issisteel.org/events ).

Třinec is the city with 38 thousand inhabitants which is located in the Beskydy Mountains (see the website: www.trinecko.cz). Třinec city is situated 5 km south from the border with Poland, 20 km west from the border with Slovakia and 50 km from the Ostrava Airport.
