HOST AMANDA LANG is the senior business correspondent for CBC News, contributing regularly to CBC News: The National. She also anchors The Lang & O’Leary Exchange on CBC News Network, with Kevin O’Leary. Before joining CBC, Lang hosted Business News Network’s Squeezeplay. She is a veteran business journalist who got her start at The Globe and Mail and Financial Post. She is the author of The Power of Why.

MEDIA GUESTS IAN AUSTEN has reported about Canada for The New York Times for the past decade, and has been a contributing writer with several magazines. He is a former Ottawa correspondent for Southam News and The Financial Times of Canada, and was a Washington correspondent and business writer-editor at Maclean's in Toronto. TOM CLARK is the host of The West Block with Tom Clark and is chief political correspondent for Global News. Before joining Global, he hosted CTV’s daily politics show Power Play with Tom Clark and was the Washington bureau chief for CTV National News. He has 40 years of political and current affairs coverage under his belt. MARTIN REGG COHN writes the Ontario politics column for the Toronto Star. A foreign correspondent for 11 years, he was chief of the Middle East and Asia bureaus, then foreign editor, and most recently a world affairs columnist. He previously covered national politics from Ottawa. JAMES COWAN is the deputy editor of Canadian Business. He also writes a column for the magazine, which he joined in 2009 as a senior writer. Previously, he worked as a reporter with the National Post, and as an editor at Saturday Night magazine. He has also written for THIS magazine, EnRoute and Toronto Life. ANDREW COYNE is a columnist with Postmedia News. He has written previously for Maclean’s magazine, the National Post, and The Globe and Mail. His work has also appeared in a number of other publications in Canada and abroad. A frequent commentator on television and radio, he is seen regularly on CBC's The National.

BEPPI CROSARIOL is The Globe and Mail’s wine, spirits and beer columnist. A veteran news and business journalist, he previously held various positions at the paper, including technology editor and business-law reporter. He has also worked at The Boston Globe, the Financial Times of Canada and the Kingston Whig-Standard. DEREK DeCLOET has been writing about business and finance since the late 1990s. He joined The Globe and Mail in 2003 and began writing Vox, the newspaper's popular investment column. He won the 2009 National Magazine Award for business writing. His column appears monthly in Report on Business Magazine. MARY-MAUDE DENIS has been a reporter at CBC/Radio-Canada for eleven years, joining the award-winning Enquête program in 2008. Along with host Alain Gravel and other members of the team, her investigations on Quebec's construction industry uncovered a widespread system of corruption and collusion in the province. CHRISTINE DOBBY covers telecom and media for the Financial Post. She practised family law in Toronto before returning to school for her master’s of journalism at Ryerson University. She has reported for the New Brunswick Telegraph-Journal and the Toronto Star and joined the Post in May 2011. KEVIN DONOVAN is an investigative reporter at the Toronto Star. He has won three Canadian Association of Journalists Awards, one Michener Award and three National Newspaper Awards with the Star. He has written ORNGE: The Star Investigation That Broke the Story, an exclusive Star Dispatches eRead. ROBYN DOOLITTLE is a city hall reporter with the Toronto Star. She was previously the paper's crime reporter. In her seven years with the Star, Doolittle has covered an Olympic Games, the Conrad Black trial, the 2010 municipal election and, most recently, Mayor Rob Ford's crack cocaine scandal. ANDREW FLYNN is associate editor of the Financial Post at the National Post. He was previously at The Canadian Press, where he worked as assistant business editor, reporter/editor at the Parliamentary bureau in Ottawa and on the Ontario Desk in Toronto, and was a national music/pop culture reporter and Internet columnist. DAWNA FRIESEN is the executive editor and anchor of Global National. For 11 years, she served as a foreign correspondent and anchor for NBC, covering international news stories. Before NBC, Friesen worked for CTV News as a national correspondent, anchor and back-up host for Canada AM.

MATT GALLOWAY is the host of Metro Morning on CBC Radio One, 99.1 FM, in Toronto. He has been working at CBC Radio for more than 10 years and has hosted the programs Here & Now, The Current and Sounds Like Canada. He sits on the boards of the Stop Community Food Centre and the Toronto Arts Council. MARCUS GEE joined The Globe and Mail in 1991 after stints at Vancouver’s The Province, Asiaweek magazine, United Press, Maclean’s and Financial Times Canada. Through most of his career at The Globe, he has been writing about foreign affairs. Currently, he is exploring his hometown of Toronto as a columnist. JIAN GHOMESHI is an award-winning broadcaster, writer, musician and producer. He is the host and co-creator of the national daily talk program, Q, on CBC Radio One and CBC TV. As a writer and interviewer, he has been published in The Washington Post, The Guardian, The Globe and Mail, Toronto Star and National Post. TAVIA GRANT has worked at The Globe and Mail for eight years, covering socio-economic trends such as youth unemployment, migration and the rise of temp work. She writes for the paper's awardwinning blog, Economy Lab. HOWARD GREEN is the anchor of Headline, the flagship interview program on BNN, a network he helped launch in 1999. He is the author of the bestselling book Banking on America: How TD Bank Rose to the Top and Took on the USA, and is an award-winning documentary maker. CHANTAL HÉBERT is national affairs writer and political columnist at the Toronto Star. In addition to her columns, she is a regular member of the CBC’s At Issue panel, broadcast weekly on The National.

HEATHER HISCOX hosts the weekday morning show on CBC News Network. Prior to this position, Hiscox was based in Toronto as a reporter for CBC News: The National and also covered international stories for the program. She has worked out of CBC's bureaus in Washington and London, England. SIMON HOUPT is The Globe and Mail's senior media writer, charged with covering the industry's transformation. He has served as the paper's New York arts correspondent, weekly columnist, and advertising and marketing reporter for the Report on Business. He is the author of Museum of the Missing: A History of Art Theft.

CAROLYN JARVIS is chief correspondent for Global News’ 16×9. Prior to moving to Toronto in 2011, Jarvis worked as reporter and weekend anchor for the Vancouver-based flagship newscast, Global National. She also launched and hosted the political affairs program Focus: Decision Canada. NIL KÖKSAL is the weekend news anchor and host of CBC News Toronto. She has also served as an intern, writer, producer and videojournalist at CBC. She is a regular substitute host on CBC News Toronto weekdays and contributes to CBC Radio One, CBC News Network and The National. LISA LaFLAMME is chief anchor and senior editor of CTV National News. For over a decade, LaFlamme was on the road, covering everything from wars and elections, to natural disasters, from some of the world’s most dangerous locations as national affairs correspondent for the program. LINDEN MACINTYRE is co-host of the fifth estate, CBC Television's investigative program. Prior to joining the show, MacIntyre was a print reporter in Halifax, Ottawa and Cape Breton. At the CBC, he hosted The MacIntyre File, worked for The Journal, and was host and regional editor for Sunday Morning. He is the author of four books. STEPHEN MAHER is national columnist for Postmedia News, publisher of major Canadian daily newspapers including the National Post, Ottawa Citizen, Montreal Gazette, Calgary Herald, and Vancouver Sun. He is former Ottawa bureau chief of the Halifax ChronicleHerald. STEVE MAICH is publisher and editor-in-chief of Sportsnet magazine, Canada’s only sports magazine for Canadian fans. Steve has served as editor and publisher of Canadian Business magazine, and as executive editor and national business columnist for Maclean’s. He cowrote (with Lianne George) the 2009 book The Ego Boom. HEATHER MALLICK is a staff columnist at the Toronto Star and writes on a variety of subjects. She has previously worked at CBC.ca, The Globe and Mail and the Financial Post. She is the author of Pearls in Vinegar and an essay collection, Cake or Death. She has won two National Newspaper Awards for features and critical writing. PETER MANSBRIDGE is host of The National, CBC’s flagship news program and all CBC News specials. He is host of Mansbridge: One on One, and is also the chief correspondent of CBC News. His career with the CBC spans more than 40 years, and has received 12 Gemini Awards for excellence in journalism.

LAWRENCE MARTIN is a political affairs columnist for The Globe and Mail and Ipolitics. He is a former bureau chief for the Globe in Montreal, Washington and Moscow. He is the author of ten books, six of them national best sellers. His most recent book is Harperland: The Politics of Control. STUART McLEAN is a best-selling author, award-winning journalist and humorist, and host of CBC Radio program, The Vinyl Cafe. Stuart began his broadcasting career making radio documentaries for CBC Radio's Sunday Morning and was a regular columnist and guest host on CBC's Morningside. ANNE-MARIE MEDIWAKE is the co-host of CBC News Toronto on CBC Television. Prior to joining CBC, Mediwake co-anchored Global Television's Toronto flagship newscast. She also helmed CTV's investigative current affairs show 21C and reported for CTV National News with Lloyd Robertson, Canada AM and Newsnet. WENDY MESLEY hosts CBC's The National on Sunday evenings and is a correspondent for the program. She has won three Gemini Awards for her work on the CBC shows Marketplace and Undercurrents, and she was honoured in 2006 with the John Drainie Award for her contribution to Canadian broadcasting. STEPHEN MEURICE has been with the National Post since its launch in 1998, first as front-page editor, then as night editor, managing editor, deputy editor, and, since 2010, as editor-in-chief. He began his career at the Sherbrooke Record and spent several years at the Ottawa Citizen. HUGO MILLER is a correspondent covering technology, media and telecommunications for Bloomberg News, based in Toronto. Prior to this position, he was based in Bloomberg’s Geneva bureau.

DON NEWMAN is the chairman of the Advisory Board of Canada 2020, a public policy forum for social and economic progress. For over two decades, he was the senior Parliamentary editor of CBC Television News and anchor of the CBC News program Politics. His memoir Welcome to the Broadcast will be published this fall. KEVIN NEWMAN is digital news evangelist, host of Question Period and W5 correspondent for CTV News. He was founding anchor and executive editor of Global National for a decade and has worked at ABC, Global and CBC. His career in the United States included hosting Good Morning America.

CHRIS NUTTALL-SMITH is The Globe and Mail's Toronto restaurant critic and national food writer. He has written for Esquire, New York and The Wall Street Journal, among many other publications, on subjects including Afghanistan, Iran and the Gulf states, and push-up thong underwear for men, which he wears to benefit dinners. SEAMUS O’REGAN is a broadcast journalist. He was a correspondent with CTV National News and former co-host at CTV’s national morning show Canada AM. He has also reported for W5 and hosted programs on Bravo! SEAN O’SHEA is an investigative and consumer reporter for Global Toronto. O’Shea is also a contributing correspondent to 16:9, the Global News magazine program. A veteran journalist, O’Shea has exposed organized crime figures, scam artists and unscrupulous contractors, and is a passionate advocate for consumer rights. CAROL OFF is a host of CBC Radio’s As It Happens. Off has extensive experience in both Canadian and international current affairs, has produced a number of award-winning documentaries, and is the author of three books. She began as an arts reporter for CBC Stereo and worked as the CBC Ottawa correspondent for Sunday Morning. STEVE PAIKIN is the anchor and senior editor of TVO's flagship current affairs program The Agenda with Steve Paikin. For twelve years prior to The Agenda, Paikin co-hosted TVO's Studio 2. He also hosted TVO's weekly foreign affairs series, Diplomatic Immunity, which debuted in 1998. BEATRICE POLITI is the health specialist for Global Toronto. She is also a correspondent for Global Television’s weekly investigative news magazine 16:9 The Bigger Picture. She has worked as a reporter and anchor at CBC, and served as Parliamentary reporter for CityTV, CP24 and A-Channel in Ottawa. JACKSON PROSKOW is Global Toronto's City Hall reporter. Jackson began his career at Shaw TV in Calgary. He worked as a reporter, producer, anchor and weatherman at Global in Lethbridge, Alberta, and as a reporter at Global's sister station, CHCH in Hamilton before moving to Toronto. GRANT ROBERTSON is an award-winning journalist recognized for his investigative journalism, business reporting and profile writing. He joined The Globe and Mail as a business reporter in 2005 after five years at the Calgary Herald. He now covers the banking sector for Report on Business and writes for Report on Business Magazine.

LLOYD ROBERTSON is host and chief correspondent for CTV’s investigative news series, W5. With a broadcast career spanning more than 50 years, he is best known for his role as the chief anchor and senior editor of CTV's national newscast, CTV National News with Lloyd Robertson. He recently released his memoir The Kind of Life It's Been. ALASTAIR SHARP is a Reuters journalist covering currency, debt and equity markets, broader macro-economic news from the Bank of Canada and federal finance ministry, as well as the resource-heavy Toronto stock exchange, securities regulation and structure, and the domestic hedge fund industry. MICHELLE SHEPHARD is the Toronto Star’s national security reporter and author of two books. She is a three-time winner of the National Newspaper Awards and a recipient of the Governor General’s Michener Award for public service journalism. She is producing a documentary on the Uighur detainees from Guantanamo Bay. ALISON SMITH is host of CBC Radio's flagship news program, The World at Six, and is a senior correspondent for CBC News. Prior to this position, Smith was the Washington correspondent for CBC Television. Smith covered municipal and provincial politics in Toronto before moving to CBC-TV's The National. BRIAN STEWART is a distinguished senior fellow at the Munk School of Global Affairs at the University of Toronto. Brian is one of Canada’s most respected foreign correspondents, known for his reports for CBC’s The National, international documentaries and his show CBC News: Our World. He now writes a column for CBCNews.ca. DIANA SWAIN is the senior investigative correspondent for CBC News. Swain's work is frequently seen on The National and CBC Television's flagship investigative program the fifth estate. Swain also regularly fills in as anchor of The National. She was the first woman in Canada to win the Gemini for Best News Anchor. BEVERLY THOMSON has been co-hosting Canada AM, CTV’s national morning show, since 2003. Her return to CTV followed six years as the anchor of the evening newscast at Global Toronto. Previously, Thomson spent seven years at CTV Toronto as a general assignment reporter and weekend anchor. THERESA TEDESCO is chief business correspondent at the National Post. An award-winning journalist and columnist, she is also a regular commentator on CBC radio, and has written for various Canadian publications. She authored the best-selling book Offside: The Battle for Control of Maple Leaf Gardens.

ANNA MARIA TREMONTI became host of CBC Radio’s The Current in 2002 after serving as a correspondent and host on the fifth estate. For nine years, she was a foreign correspondent for The National, based in Berlin, London, Jerusalem and Washington. The Current won last year’s CJF Excellence in Journalism Award. RITA TRICHUR is a business reporter with The Globe and Mail, Canada's national newspaper. She writes about the telecommunications industry for the Globe's Report on Business. She previously worked at the Toronto Star, The Canadian Press and the Ottawa Sun. PAUL WELLS is the political editor at Maclean’s magazine. In addition to writing for Maclean’s, Wells has written for Time magazine, the National Post, La Presse and the Literary Review of Canada. His latest book The Longer I’m Prime Minister: Stephen Harper and Canada, 2006– is due out this fall. NANCY WILSON is a host at CBC News Network. She has worked as a reporter, host and anchor for news programs such as CTV's Canada AM, CJOH News in Ottawa and the parliamentary bureau of Global News. Prior to joining CBC Newsworld, Wilson worked on CBC Television's newsmagazine The Journal.
