Background and Introduction

Indus

consortium is a network of three right based organizations Laar Humanitarian Development Program (LHDP), HELP Foundation and Doaba Foundation.

Doaba Foundation is a humanitarian organization working in disaster prone areas envisions the “Disaster Prone Communities Becoming Self-Reliant in Pursuit of Their Common Interests”. Doaba mission is to improve the quality of life among rural people and, true to its name, concentrates on communities prone to flood disasters. It believes in achieving the goal through optimal utilization of available resources i.e. physical-biological, moral and human. It seeks to build capacity of such communities incorporating even the relief activities into program of development, facilitating emergence of self-reliant communities. The Project titled “Effective Utilization of ICT for Partner Communities” is being implemented by Indus Consortium, Islamabad with the financial support of Oxfam Novib in District Multan and Muzaffargarh. Specific Objective of the Project: CBOs promoting social change and democratic participation effectively integrate the new strategic technical knowledge, ICT tools, social platforms and resources into their existing infrastructure and practices for increased access to information and freedom of expression. Purpose and Scope of Work:  Enabling Doaba Staff in dealing with Computers and Laptops (hardware, software & Social Media) to make the effective use of Computers for communications  Enabling Doaba Staff Proficient in dealing with English Spoken Persons and Communities in effective manners communication

General Terms & Conditions Required competencies: The Individuals/Consultant / firm should have an experience at least 2-3 years in the fields of “ICT/IT” for Computer Classes. Our field staff remains busy in field activities almost for five days of the week, we intend to spare the one day of Week for the coaching classes of English Language and computer classes Preferably (English in Morning, Computer in second half of the day). Keeping in view the structure of classes (4 classes per Month) we are interested

Content of the Proposal The Individuals/Consultants/Firm are required to submit a detailed program/plan/strategy and Financial Proposal (Fees for Coaching Classes) to Implement weekly coaching classes keeping in view above milestones and contents for Both English and Computer coaching classes. These would weekly classes therefore this course may take several Months. The Participant range for both classes is Minimum 15 Maximum 20 candidates/staff. English class must contain Minimum 4 hours and for 3 hours for Computer classes.

Proposal: The proposal must contain: 1- Contact person/s name, number, and address 2- Detailed Profile 3- Proposed Methodology 4- Implementation Schedule/Duration Financial Proposal: The Financial proposal must contain 1- Fees 2- Timeframe/installment of fees (Schedule) Facilitation from Doaba Foundation o Doaba shall Bear all Logistical requirement for instances arranging all Necessary equipments for creating learning Environment in Both Classes of English and Computer. SUBMISSION PROCEDURE The technical and financial proposals (in soft-PDF or Hard Copies) along with Cover Letter should be sent to address mentioned bellow. Please clearly mention, “Proposal for Doaba Staff Capacity Building (English/Computer or Both)” on top right of the Envelope (If sent through post) or Subject line of email. Special Note

Keeping in view two different Courses individuals/Consultants can apply either for both (English and Computer) or for any single courses (Computer OR English classes). The contents mentioned above, may be modified after the initiation course, as per need.
