1.0 The tender document can be downloaded from the NCCS website http://www.nccs.res.in or available for sale on payment of cash or by Demand draft of Rs. 500/- towards the tender cost. The Demand draft of EMD drawn in the name of “Director, National Centre For Cell Science”, should be enclosed with the submission. 2.0 Last date of receipt of the sealed tenders is upto 1300 hrs. on 04.03.2014. 3.0 Director, NCCS reserves the right to accept or reject, any or all quotes without assigning any reasons thereof.

NOTICE INVITING TENDERS

Technical Officer (Maintenance), invites sealed Tenders on behalf of Director, from the contractors registered with CPWD/State PWD/MES/Railways/MSEDCL and Semi Govt. Organisations / reputed industries / companies etc. for the works mentioned below: 1.1 SCOPE OF THE WORK: The proposed work involves:  Applying Oil Bound Distemper as internal paint.  Applying Acrylic Emulsion paint of Apex as external paint  Applying Synthetic enamel paint to doors, windows & grills. 1.2 COST OF THE WORK: The estimated cost of the work is Rs. 50,400/- (Rs. Fifty Thousand Four Hundred Only) 1.3 COMPLETION PERIOD: Time for carrying out the work will be 20 days from the 10th day of issue of work order. 1.4 ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: Prospective contractor will be required to fulfill following criteria for participating in the tendering process. a) The Firm / Contractor shall be registered with Government / Semi Government organization like CPWD, MES, Railways, State PWDs etc. in appropriate class/reputed private company/industries / authorized & approved paint applicator of paint manufacturing company such as Asian Paints, Nerolac, Delux, British Paints etc. b) The Firm / Contractor shall be registration of Shop Act, Income Tax, and Service Tax Department as per Govt. rules & regulations. c) The Firm / Contractor should have average annual turnover (gross) for the last three years of Rs. 15,200/- and should not have incurred any loss in more than two years during the immediate last 3 consecutive financial years ending on 31.03.2013.

Three similar completed works costing not less than 20,200/- or ii. Two similar completed works costing not less than 30,300/- or iii. One similar completed works costing not less than 40,400/Documents to be enclosed as proof  Registration Certificates  Self-attested Last 3 years Income Tax returns with profit and loss statement.  List of similar civil works in hand and completed during last five years.

1.5 ISSUE OF TENDER FORM: The tender documents can be downloaded from the NCCS website http://www.nccs.res.in. The Demand Draft of Rs. 500/- drawn in the name of “Director, National Centre For Cell Science”, towards the cost of tender documents should be enclosed with the submission. 1.6 SUBMISSION OF TENDERS: Tenderers must submit their offer to TOC(M), NCCS Pune, NCCS Complex, Pune University Campus, Ganeshkhind, Pune – 411 007, on or before 1300 hrs on 4th March 2014. The sealed envelope should be super scribed with the name of the work, date & time of opening. The price bid of the contractors will not be considered without DD of ‘Cost of Tender Documents’ & ‘Earnest Money’. 1.7 OPENING OF TENDERS: The Bids will be opened on – 4th March 2014 at 1430 hrs at National Centre For Cell Science, Pune – 411 007, in the presence of contractors who wish to present for the same. Director, NCCS reserves the right to accept the offer in full or in parts or reject summarily or partly without assigning any reason(s) thereof.

GENERAL CONDITIONS OF CONTRACT

2.1 The quote shall be submitted strictly in the prescribed format given in schedule of work alongwith supporting documents. 2.2 Rates quoted by the contractor shall inclusive of all taxes excluding service tax. Service tax to be quote separately. Service tax will be paid to the contractor at actual, on production of documentary proof of actual payment for tendered work. 2.3 Quotation should be valid for a minimum period of 90 days from the opening of price bid. 2.4 The Earnest Money Deposit (2% of estimated cost) amounting to Rs. 1,000/- (Rupees One Thousand Only) as demand draft or pay order of a nationalized or scheduled bank and drawn in favour of Director, National Centre For Cell Science, Pune, should accompany the tender. Tenders received without earnest money will be invalid. 2.5 Security Deposit shall be deducted from the bills at 10 % of the gross value of work done till such time the sum so deducted, works out to 5% of the tendered value of the work. EMD refunded after submission of PBG 5% of work order value. 2.6 The tenderer, whose tender is accepted, will be required to furnish an amount equal to 5% of the tendered value of the contract as Performance Security Guarantee within the period of 7 days from issue of LOI. Performance security may be accepted as demand draft or pay order of a nationalized or scheduled bank. 2.7 Defect Liability Period shall be of Twelve months from the date of completion as certified by the Engineering Incharge. 2.8 Documentary proof in respect of the eligibility criteria shall be furnished alongwith the submission. With regard to the completed works, copies of the work order and completion certificate shall be submitted. 2.9 The Bidder should sign each page of the tender. 2.10 Overwriting should be avoided. Correction, if any, should be made by neatly crossing out, initialing, dating and rewriting. 2.11 Men and material of the contractor will be under his control and Institute will not be responsible for the same in any manner. The contractor should follow all safety rules and norms applicable to this work. 2.12 The contractor has to arrange all tool tackels etc. 2.13 The bidder is advised to visit the site of work, at his own cost, and examine it and it’s surroundings to himself collect all information that he considers necessary for satisfactory execution of the work.

TENDER DOCUMENT FOR CIVIL WORKS 2.14 Incomplete tender is liable for rejection. 2.15 We will not pay any advance or part of payment against work order. 2.16 Running Accounts Reimbursement is not admissible. 2.17 Payment against work order will be made after satisfactory completion of the work. 2.18 The bidder should ensure that the offer should submit at the given address within prescribed date and time as mentioned in the advertisement. 2.19 The Director, NCCS reserves the right to accept or reject, any or all the offers submitted in response to this advertisement without assigning any reasons thereof.
