QUESTIONNAIRES QUANTITATIVE QUESTIONNAIRE The first step in job matching for the quantitative questionnaire is using the Job Matching Guide. For each job, you work out with which reference job corresponds best with your internal job based on the content of the jobs and not on the basis of the jobholder. A convenient guide for matching jobs is to bear in mind the following 4 questions:  What is the goal of the job?  What are the most important result areas (tasks, responsibilities, etc.)?  What is the (hierarchical or functional) positioning of the job within the organization?  Which training/experience/competencies are required for the job? The second step in the matching process is to link each job with the appropriate level of complexity. In order to be able to apply the necessary differentiation, each reference job has been divided into three levels: the job description “=” is the standard profile, the description “+” is the job differentiated towards a heavier profile, the description “-“ towards a slightly lighter profile. This differentiation is made ascertained from a number of discriminating factors that have an impact on the weight of a job within an organization. These factors are related to the impact of the job on the organization, the autonomy of the jobholder, the technical expertise that is required to be able to execute the job and the context in which the job is active. The third step in the matching is to indicate whether the job is executed internally (within the company) or externally in client organizations. This is particularly the case for the consultancy jobs. For example, a business consultant can be internal and external to the company, but the result areas for both jobs are the same. When referring to clients or customers in the job description, this can refer to internal or external clients or customers. To maximize the completeness of the dataset, please clearly indicate on the survey form whether the job is internal or external. This can be done by completing the correct column. The final step in the matching process relates to the technology used. Especially within the ICT sector, differentiation is often made based on the most frequent used types of technologies. Please indicate per job (if applicable) the most frequently used technology from the list below. Further instructions on how to match your jobs can be found in the introduction of the Job Matching Guide. At Hudson, we strive to obtain the most accurate data results. Therefore, we have developed a unique and accurate job matching in order to guarantee an optimal quality of our survey results. This also means that, during the job matching process, we stay in close contact with our participants to ensure the jobs are matched correctly. Should you have any further questions regarding the job matching, please note that our experts are always available to help—don’t hesitate to contact us!

QUALITATIVE QUESTIONNAIRE The qualitative questionnaire first of all assesses the starters’ policy. It specifically enquires on the presence of a separate starters’ policy in the organization and its key features (the level of basic salary and the presence of other salary components). It also enquires on the benefits package as well as flexible remuneration (cafeteria plan). It investigates whether there is flexible remuneration for different types of employees, its composition as well as the prevalence of different types of benefits like compensation of overtime, the presence of multimedia, formal gifts (in case of birth, wedding) and the presence of new age benefits. This year, the questionnaire is available online and can be accessed by clicking this link.

ACCURATE JOB MATCHING TECHNOLOGIES For some job holders within a specific job, it can be relevant to indicate their specialization in technology. We have made it possible to take technology specialization into account when creating specific development related profiles. Technology
