Tearfund’s Southern Sudan Disaster Management Programme is looking for a suitable South Sudanese candidate for the positions of Logistics Officer – Procurement (Yuai), Logistics Officer – NFIs and Commodities (Yuai), and Finance Administrator (Juba) Interested candidates must complete a Tearfund application form which can be collected from the HR department or the Tearfund HR Officer located at Hai Jerusalem Next to ACCROS few meters a way from St Joseph Catholic Church. Yuai Logistics Officer – NFIs and Commodities

Identify warehousing requirements and arrange physical facilities for storage at project sites in consultation with Logistics Manager, including managing security and warehouse staff. Establish and maintain a stock inventory management system, including stock control and detailed receipt/despatch records; provide reconciled stock reports. Ensure documentation and reporting of losses / damages. Oversee reconstitution of damaged or short weight commodities and arrange destruction of infested and damaged items. Coordinate with project staff to ensure effective and timely release /despatch of goods to project sites. Determine transport requirements and organise distribution plans at project level, coordinating with relevant logistics and project staff to ensure effective delivery of relief commodities to project sites.

Establish and maintain an accurate, detailed and up to date fixed asset register, receiving information from the Project Manager and provide monthly updates of the register to the Area Coordinator and Logistics Manager. Ensure acquisition and disposal of fixed assets is according to the requirements of Tearfund and the relevant donor. Ensure, with the advice of the Finance Manager, that fixed assets are correctly depreciated on a monthly basis to provide an accurate reflection of the current asset values. Finance Administrator

Responsible for the day-to-day finances including budget management, cash disbursements, cash receipts, petty cash management, currency exchanges, local payroll, personal calls made via Tearfund satellite and mobile phones and other finance related tasks. Inform head office on any cash amounts that have to be deducted every month end including Thuraya recharges, advances and other personal expenses,

Obtain timesheets for staff working on OFDA and CHF funded projects and other donors and enter corresponding journals into PSF. Prepare timely and accurate monthly finance records and the finance report for Aweil expenditures, carefully coding the relevant budget lines and submit them to the Finance officer, including the PSF file, original invoices and receipts, local purchase orders and corresponding purchase requests. Prepare and submit timely cash projections and requests for the coming month to ensure that the cash is released and sent to the field on time. Carry out a frequent cash count with the Area Coordinator Ensure that the local field purchases follow the required financial processes that are well recorded and paper work filed. Prepare commentary on variances in Aweil actual expenditure from institutional donor budgets for submission to the PSF and Tearfund HQ. Liaise with AC, logistics, human resources and other staff.
