Pre-Season Meetings Dear all As in the year’s before we will organize a couple of information meeting, a photo shooting and a season opening Press Meeting with the top three World Cup athletes in Kuusamo. The detailed schedule and exact place will follow in October 2013 but here is already the first draft: Meetings: Wednesday, 27th November: Team & Industry Info Meeting with distribution of the big bibs and the parking stickers Athletes-Meeting Athletes – Opening – Get together ( a nice get together in a cosy atmosphere to meet each other and exchange the experience from the summer) Thursday, 28th November: Season Opening Press Meeting with the top three World Cup athletes (like in Gällivare, no stiff press conference but coordinated interview possibilities with the athletes for the press), Time and place tbc Photo-Shooting: Official photoshooting in collaboration with the Industry partners from Wednesday till Friday from 09:00 – 16:00h in the team area. More information to follow by email to NSAs and coaches.

ATA Carnet The ATA Carnet is an international document for the temporary, duty-free admission of goods. With the ATA Carnet Swiss and foreign customs formalities are completed using one form. The ATA Carnet can be obtained from Chambers of Commerce and Industry and releases the holder from any obligation to provide a guarantee when crossing the border. In Switzerland the Chambers of Commerce and Industry provide information on the conditions for receiving a Carnet, please see http://www.cci.ch/. The ATA Carnet may be used for several border crossings and is valid for one year. Instead of national customs documents, the ATA Carnet can be used for imports, exports and transits purposes. The advantage is the swift passage through customs. The ATA Carnet has a uniform appearance for all contracting parties to the Convention on Temporary Admission of 26 June 1990 (the so-called Istanbul Convention). It can be used in more than 60 countries. 14

When opening the ATA Carnet, the complete description of the goods must be (cover sheet reverse) present. For the holder of the ATA Carnet, it is always possible to bring the goods back into the domestic customs territory. The use of the Carnet ATA is applied to durable goods but not to nondurable goods. Waxing facilities (World Cup Rules Art. 14) • Wax cabins : available from 26/12/2013 at 8 :00 • Waxing trucks: teams arriving with trucks have to inform the OC before 06/10/2013 with exact measurements of the truck, details of the needs and about the need to drive on Sunday. For that we will provide a special permission to drive in Germany on Sunday. 7. Regulations of radio equipment: • Use of radio transmission equipment in Germany and Italy is regulated by national law. If you arrive with trailers, please take the route from Chur – Thusis – Tiefencastel – Lenzerheide. Snowchains, snow removal Lenzerheide is on 1475 meters altitude. Please make sure that you bring snow chains with you. If there is a lot of snow, snow chains must be installed between Churwalden and Lenzerheide. The alternative route leads from Chur to Thusis and from there to Tiefencastel and Lenzerheide (s. «Routing » above). The OC is bothered to organise an early snow removal at the arriving day. 7. Transport (World Cup Rules Art. 11) • Official airport : Arlanda Airport in Stockholm • The organizing committee will arrange transportation between the airport and the hotels. 1 transport free of charge. • Extra arrivals with transfer requested at a rate of CHF 60 per person each way from Skavsta/Västerås. • Information to the Shuttle service - Free transport service will be offered during your stay in Falun. Time and place according to agreements. 5. Payment (World Cup Rules Art. 10 and 13) • Accommodation costs : Teams will pay directly in their hotels (persons from the pay lists will be paid by the OC directly). • Carrying costs/Reimbursement : Made by bank transfer − Time for checking and updating the bank transfer on Thursday 13/03/2014 at the new competition building. Waxing facilities (World Cup Rules Art. 14) • Wax cabins : available from 10/3/2014 • Waxing trucks : Please inform the OC 6 weeks before arrival if you have special needs beside the mentioned sizes and needs to FIS in autumn 7. Regulations of radio equipment: • The import, export and the operation of radio equipment in Sweden is regulated by national law. Permits for the use of radio transmission equipment must be requested according to national specifications. • Information : www.radioinsweden.com 8. Regulations of Visa: • Remember that citizens of some countries will need visa for visiting Sweden. Please check with your embassy if you need a visa for Sweden. • For an official letter of invitation, please send a request to [email protected] 9. Income tax information for prize money (according to the Swedish law 2013): • Income tax for a citizen in an EU/EFTA country is 15 %. • Income tax and social contribution for a citizen in another country than EU/EFTA is o 35,32 % if the prize winner is born 1987 or earlier o 26,40 % if the prize winner is born 1988 or later • Citizens from Switzerland, Canada and USA can reduce the tax burden to 15 % if the athletes provide a certificate that confirm that the athletes pay social contributions in their home country.
