TalentSource Training Session: Intel Sponsors Do I need to attend this training? Yes, if you are a Sponsor or Delegate of Staff Augmentation CW’s. Staff Augmentation describes contingent workers (CW) who are employed by a third party company, known as a Supplier. SA CWs are used to temporarily fill in for or temporarily augment the performance of functions that are performed by Intel employees.

No, if you are a Sponsor or Delegate of Outsourced CW’s or an Independent Contractor. More information will be provided on the CWOS Tool at a later date. Outsourcing describes a service provided by a third party company, knows as a Supplier. The Supplier employs individuals, Outsourced Contingent Workers (OS CWs), who perform the services. Under the Outsourcing model, the Supplier provides day to day management of and direction to the OS CWs.

Independent Contractor is an independent person or persons doing business as an independent business entity or freelancer (business owner) that performs specialized services for Intel under contract for multiple clients. Engagements with IC CWs are generally projectbased, short term and for a fixed term in duration.
