Students enrolled in Alpha Omega Academy must be considered full-time (taking at least four courses) before qualifying as candidates for a high school diploma. Homeschool transfer students and students transfering from accredited schools must earn at least their last 5.5 credits through the academy before graduation. A: Yes. AOA is fully accredited by the North Central Association Commission on Accreditation & School Improvement. You can learn more at aoacademy.com/benefits/accreditation.php.
Q: When can I enroll?
Aaron K., Colorado
A: Yes. Transcripts are issued upon graduation or transfer. They are sent to colleges or other schools upon written request.
accredited
Alpha Omega Academy provided me with an academic foundation that prepared me for college. It was easy to learn from their curriculum’s multimedia format and balanced structure between content presentation and review. The online approach to learning also helped me strengthen my self-discipline, a trait that is serving me well in my college studies.
”
A: Students may enroll at any time throughout the year.
Q: How long does my student have to complete courses? A: AOA suggests that parents allow 45-60 minutes per subject per day for 180 school days to complete the program of study. A school year typically lasts 180 days or about nine months. Students have up to 10 months to complete one school year’s coursework. Summer school is also available.
Q: Do you offer a high school diploma and graduation ceremony? A: Yes. Upon successful completion of either a general or college preparatory course of study, a high school diploma is issued to full-time students. The optional regional graduation ceremony is an exciting opportunity for graduating seniors and their families. A virtual ceremony is also offered online.
Q: Do you offer an official transcript for high school?
Q: Will your program prepare my student for college? A: Yes. AOA’s college preparatory track prepares students for entrance to most universities and colleges. AOA’s accreditation status helps ensure college or university acceptance; however, college acceptance ultimately depends on each college’s admission process. The academy also provides a school code for taking the SAT or ACT college entrance tests.
Q: What is the role of the parent? A: Parental involvement is essential to student success. Parents are encouraged to take an active role in their student’s education by working with the student in each lesson, daily reviewing student progress, and maintaining regular communication with AOA teachers.
Q: How do I enroll?
quality
A: You can enroll by calling us at 800.682.7396 Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. (CT) or by visiting us online 24/7 at aoacademy.com/register. Registration must be completed by a parent or guardian.
