TAHITI Queen of the Pacific The main island of Tahiti is the largest, and Papeete the capital is gateway to the region. Ride an open-air Le Truck around the island, visit Le Marche to buy handicrafts, or dine at Les Roulettes on the waterfront. The island’s interior is worlds away from downtown Papeete as the landscape changes to rugged coastline, deep valleys, clear streams and waterfalls. MOOREA The Magical Island Just 10 minutes by air or 40 minutes by sea from Tahiti, Moorea is a favorite south seas experience. Bora Bora is small in size and surrounded by a stunning lagoon with the legendary Mt. Otemanu rising sharply from the center. Explore the coastline, just 20 miles around by foot or bicycle and discover ancient temples and polynesian villages.
