To login enter the – School ID 11313 Then enter your BROMCOM username and password.

Getting to your Dashboard

This is the new view (‘Dashboard’) when logging in.

If other areas of the MIS have been accessed you can return to your dashboard by selecting on the top tool bar. Back to Contents

Using the ‘Search’ feature This is the new ‘Header Search’ which can be found at the top right of your page.

This search tool allows you to quickly and easily locate; • • • • • •

Students Staff Members Contacts Groups Features Reports

By default, this search tool will be set to find students. To change the search criteria, click the ‘Student’ dropdown.

When entering text into the search bar, you will be provided with an auto-complete list containing any names/words that partially match the entered text.

Viewing Pupil Details From the ‘Register’ – double click the student’s name to open up their personal details. A new page will open in your internet browser:

From the ‘Dashboard’ – enter the student’s name into the search box

How do I take my register?

Through My Calendar

You can take your register through either the ‘My Calendar’ widget or directly through your timetable. My Calendar replaces “My Timetable”, “My Cover”, “My Withdrawal Groups” & includes “My Detentions”.

From the ‘My Calendar’ widget you can open a register by clicking on the class, or alternatively click ‘More’ to see your full timetable. If you click on the required class, you will be taken directly to that register.

How do I take my register?

Through your timetable

If you click on ‘More’ on your ‘My Calendar’ widget, you will taken directly to your timetable.

This is your timetable. Note the navigable day filter, colour key and different available timetable views. It now shows cover, detentions, withdrawal groups and non timetabled periods in a single calendar.

Whilst in your timetable, you can find a particular register by clicking on ‘Select a Register’. Simply click the required group to open its register. The red cross indicates that the register has not been taken and a green tick that it has.

The ‘Register Picker’ will then pop up allowing you to search by date, class code and period.

How do I amend my register? Whether you access your class register through ‘My Calendar’ or your timetable, taking and amending a register remains the same.

Missing Registers There is a widget on your homepage for ‘Missing Registers’.

The ‘Missing Registers’ widget gives an overview of each of your incomplete registers. To update a missing register simply click the missing register that you would like to complete.

Once you have entered all of the required attendance you can click the ‘Save’ icon.

Locating Your Timetable & Staff Timetables

You can access your own timetable by clicking on ‘More’ in the ‘My Calendar’ widget on your dashboard.

Your name will appear in the user dropdown box in Timetable view. Simply use the dropdown to find another teacher’s timetable.

Adding a behaviour or homework event – 3 options 1. From within a ‘Register’ select this icon:

2. From the dashboard select the ‘My Groups’ widget and then this icon :

3. For events outside the classroom click on ‘Add’ on the My Groups panel and select ‘Behaviour’:

To submit a behaviour event: 1. Select the student/s from the list using the check boxes or click the top box to select all 2. Select the behaviour from the middle panel and complete any required fields in the right panel. 3. Click Apply and then Save Behaviour.

Enter Assessment Data – 2 options 1. From within a ‘Register’ select this icon:

then enter data as you did before.

2. From the ‘Dashboard’ go to ‘Assessment Sheets’ widget and click on the assessment sheet. Or you can click on ‘More’ to see all assessment sheets.

Select your teaching group/class and double click to open the assessment sheet.

You can now enter the assessment data for each of the students within this class. Once you have entered the assessment data, you can save the data using either the Save or the Save & Close button.

Favourites and Selection Lists From the Dashboard you can access shortcuts to pages that have been added to your Favourites by clicking here

To add your own Favourites simply navigate to the page you wish to create a shortcut for e.g.

*saving current parameters allows you to save the current selection lists for each field e.g.

If you are likely to use the same Selection List frequently you can save it by clicking on the Save icon.

Select your search parameters, not forgetting to tick the ‘Include Additional Comments’ box. You are able to save your search parameters by clicking the ‘Set Default Parameters’ icon.

The report produces raw data which will need to be exported to Excel via the dropdown.

Select ‘Find’ to locate the staff associated with the report

Staff Group Timetable Go to ‘Curriculum’ then ‘Reports’ and click ‘Staff Group Timetable’, which takes you to the following screen within the MIS:

Select ’Attribute’ (Department or Subject etc) and click ‘Find’

Choose ’Select Page’ or ‘Select All’, then ‘Done’

Then select the dates of the weeks you wish to look at – remembering to select Week A, then Week B dates.

Then select ‘Preview’ to run the report. You will be presented with the data from the report.

To Save or Edit the Report in Excel or Word, select the ‘Export drop down menu’

Then deselect AM and PM registration boxes if you wish, or Lunch, After School etc.

Show Periods as Dictates the layout of your grids, either Staff Names along the top, (Row Header) or Days and Periods along the top (Column Header)
